Review: G Squeeze Super Soft Vaginal Plug by SquarePegToys

Vaginal plugs! Wearable dildos! Pussy corks! Whatever you want to call them, they’re here. First Uberrime’s chubby, colorful Sensi, now SquarePegToys’ multi-sized G Squeeze Vag Plug.

These soft silicone toys are meant to be “worn,” meaning you insert them and leave them stationary (like butt plugs.) They provide a sense of fullness, which you can use as part of foreplay, or to enhance other sex acts (like wearing one while going down on a partner.)

SquarePeg’s founder started conceptualizing this design years ago. After seeking additional guidance from sex bloggers (including Phallophile Reviews) to perfect it, this is the result!

g squeeze design and features

SquarePegToys created a truly unique shape with the G Squeeze Plug. The bulb has two ‘scoops’ carved out of its teardrop silhouette. When you squeeze the plug the bottom scoop folds in like a taco, making it easier to insert.

G Squeeze in Small (pink) and Large (bronze)

Squeezing the G Squeeze Vaginal Plug is easy, because it’s made of flubbery soft silicone. Silicone makes these toys truly body-safe; it’s non-porous (it can’t harbor bacteria) and hypoallergenic (it doesn’t annoy even hyper-sensitive skin.) Silicone can vary in density, but the G Squeeze Plugs are deliciously squishy – in fact, I’d call them kinda blubbery.

The G Squeeze Plug comes in 4 sizes and 4 colors subtly enhanced with glitter. Peepshow Toys sent me the Small (1.5 inch diameter when squeezed), Medium (1.7” when squeezed), and Large (1.85” when squeezed.)

In every size, the insertable portion of the G Squeeze Plug is under 5 inches tall. Most vaginas are about 4–8 inches deep when aroused (arousal creates lengthening/‘tenting’) so the G Squeeze fits right in. The tip is narrow and soft, which helps avoid prodding intact cervixes.

Medium (purple), Large (bronze), Small (pink)

Now, summarizing the girth of the plugs is difficult for a few reasons. They’re designed to fold into themselves, so their width is malleable. (This is why the Peepshow Toys listing also includes the circumference when squeezed.) They’re also not round like most dildos – they’re sloped/triangular. That means they don’t feel as filling as regular toys of the same diameter. Lastly, squishier insertables feel smaller in use because they yield to pressure (like your clenching insides.)

My best advice regarding choosing a size is: be greedy! If you want to feel wedged open and properly plugged, reference the squeezed measurement and size up from your usual toys. If you’re only using a G Squeeze to warm up – such as before using larger insertables or having penetrative sex – then stick to your usual range.

I was pretty happy to see the G Squeeze’s T-shaped base. T’s are usually less obtrusive than large round bases, whether you’re using a plug anally or vaginally. It’s comfier for longer wear! The base also features the toy’s name and size etched in tiny, subtle script. It looks hand-written, which makes sense: these plug designs were hand-sculpted by SquarePegToys’ founder. I love handmade sex toys!

our pussy plug experience

My partner Buster did the testing for this review (as they always do with insertable sex toys.) Buster prefers their toys big and squishy – but not too squishy, as we’ve now discovered.

The fleshy density and malleable shape of the G Squeeze Pussy Plugs were specifically chosen for optimal comfort. But Buster found them a little too comfortable. Even the G Squeeze Large is just a vague presence in their vagina, a passive something that flattens to their pubic bone regardless of which direction it’s facing. The G Squeeze’s name comes from the ability to clench the plug and rub your g-spot, but the toy is too soft to please Buster’s low-sensitivity g-spot.

Maybe the XL would better suit Buster’s preferences. We have SquarePegToys Mel – a lifecast dildo made with the same supersoft silicone as the G Squeeze – and Buster’s a big fan. Mel is a beefy boy, though, with a two inch diameter that doesn’t fully compress like the scoop-shaped G Squeeze.

But, not everyone is after a challenge like Buster. If you’re shopping for a vag plug because you want:

  • A gentle warm-up toy
  • Something to passively fill you before or during sex/masturbation
  • A comfier/gentler alternative to dildos

…then the G Squeeze might be your best bet. (There are other options that I’ll cover in the next section.)

The SquarePegToys G Squeeze slips in with relative ease even if you don’t taco fold it. (If you’re not used to squishy insertables, make sure you’re physically aroused first – this plug’s softness might not make it past tense vaginal muscles.) The tapered tip rests deep but never poked Buster’s cervix, even when they wore it while sitting. The plug’s mid-section either cups along your pubic bone with the scoop, or gently presses with its barrel-like bulb.

The G Squeeze Large’s flared body does a decent job at staying put, too. Even when the G Squeeze gets the squeeze from clenching vaginal muscles during a powerful orgasm, it tends to stay in place. The smaller sizes (Medium and Small) get pushed out like any dildo. Whether the same will be true for you depends on your body!

The comfortable shape of the G Squeeze might be too mild for Buster, but it makes for easy hours-long wear. Buster’s nestled a G Squeeze Plug inside them to work at their desk, to watch a matinee, and to go swimming. If you have prominent inner labia like Buster, though, I’d caution against too much movement. Even when we reapply lube to keep the G Squeeze slick, the T-shaped base does rub uncomfortably after awhile. Labia chafing and urethra irritation definitely takes the fun out of it!

Buster doesn’t enjoy the G Squeeze Vag Plug on its own. But when it’s just a step in our foreplay – a way to keep their hole plugged for a much larger and more satisfying strap-on later – it has more appeal. Not into passive wear? As Felicity over at Phallophile Reviews details, you can pair your G Squeeze with certain vibrating kegel toys by tucking them into the scooped side.

comparing vaginal plugs

As I mentioned earlier, the SquarePegToys’ G Squeeze isn’t my first vaginal plug. Uberrime’s Sensi (and larger Sentio) was.

The Sensi is about the same height as the G Squeeze Plugs, but its shaft is much fatter. Its chubby body and bulbous head were designed to plug and fill, providing the same feeling as a regular dildo but without the uncomfortable height. This can make it more viscerally satisfying to use than the G Squeeze, if that’s what you’re after.

The tradeoff is that the Uberrime Sensi is significantly less wearable. While not especially girthy (1.6 inches wide, a bit above average) it’s thick enough to resist being clenched/squeezed. Especially because – unlike the G Squeeze – it doesn’t have a tapered neck. The bulbous shape of the shaft is more fun to clench but less intuitive about staying. If Buster doesn’t wear it with snug underwear, it’s prone to popping out. Sometimes even that doesn’t stop it.

The Uberrime Sentio is larger (its head 1.75 inches in diameter) and shaped more like a butt plug. In fact, it’s anal safe! Like the Sensi, the Sentio plugs you with girth that you can squeeze but not squish. Buster loves its fat barrel body and dome head, which is just prominent enough to be felt in-use and provide a slight ‘cap’ that helps the toy stay tucked around Buster’s pubic bone. The Sentio’s shortcoming is its round base, which catches and tugs their inner labia just like the G Squeeze Plug’s.

Potential alternatives that I haven’t tested myself include the Oxballs Honcho, the small SquarePegToys Thumbdrive, and the SquarePegToys Blunt Plug. But many soft silicone butt plugs can be repurposed as a vaginal plug. Just ask SuperSmashCache! To be wearable they have to be on the shorter side, be a shape that plays well with your internal anatomy (no pokey tips!), and have an unobtrusive base.

final thoughts on the g squeeze

The SquarePegToys G Squeeze Plugs are petite and sensuously supple. They comfortably conform to the vagina and provide a gentle presence during foreplay (pop it in before driving home to build anticipation for a welcome back quickie) or sex/masturbation (give yourself something to clench on while using a wand or going down on your partner.) There are some caveats (like not always playing nice with long labia) but overall the G Squeeze Plug is a welcome alternative to cumbersome (for plugging) dildos or firm kegel vibrators.

Vag plugs help fill a void in the sex toy industry that went unaddressed for way too long. Given my partner’s apathy towards the G Squeeze’s design, I hope more options arrive in the future. There’s a bajillion different dildo designs for a reason – I’d like to see at least a dozen different vag plugs.
