Review: Suki Rechargeable Sonic Pulsation Clitoral Stimulator by VeDO

A comparison shot of the Suki and Penguin air pulsation toys. They're laying against a bright green background with an odd blue cushion.

During my first testing session with the VeDO Suki Sonic Stimulator, I kept telling my partner how cute it was. Like the Satisfyer Penguin, the VeDO Suki’s nozzle looks like a beak. The wedge grip on the back reminds me of tailfeathers.

“I love it already,” I insisted while I turned it on. The air pulsation’s puttering was a mere whisper under the drone of the Suki’s simultaneous vibration.

But once I put it against my clit, the Suki’s “sonic air” became loud and clear. Just not in the way I expected.

suki design and features

The VeDO Suki is an air pulsation sex toy, meaning it uses concentrated puffs of air for touchless stimulation. Depending on the maker, this tech has also been called “pressure waves” and “sonic vibrations.”

The Suki combines air pulsation with traditional vibration. While air flickers inside the nozzle that fits around your clitoris, vibrations shiver through the head. Many Satisfyer models have this combo as an optional feature, but on the Suki it’s standard for every setting.

Peepshow Toys carries the Suki in hot pink, teal blue, or dark purple silicone. The surface is powdery soft to the touch, but the toy itself is firm. There’s a reflective plastic liner on the backside, but the seam isn’t as noticeable as the Laguna Beach Lover’s. There’s no visible gap. This makes the Suki so much easier to clean externally.

The first thing that makes the Suki Sonic Stimulator super unique in an ocean of budget-priced air pulsators is its grip. The wedge-style finger grip makes holding the Suki easy and intuitive. The similarly shaped VeDO Yumi (which is a regular vibrator) has it too. As someone with occasional grasp issues – especially with smaller toys like the Suki – I love this addition.

What I love less is the Suki’s buttons. To control the Suki’s 10 settings, there are three tiny, recessed buttons on the toy’s belly. Their placement makes sense (I often rest my thumb there naturally), but they’re not prominent enough for me to feel out the difference between them. I have to either click blindly, or pop the Suki off and look.

The second thing that makes the Suki unique is its nozzle design. Ordinarily, air pulsation toys have a wide mouths made from flexible silicone to accommodate different clitoris (and clitoral hood) sizes. VeDO went in the opposite direction: Suki’s nozzle is ultra-rigid, perfectly circular, and so narrow I can’t fit my pinky into it.

If your clit is small (and has a tight or minimal hood), the Suki’s sensations are going to feel ultra-targeted. (My friend Felicity described Suki as “the most powerful clit stimulation toy I own.”) But my clit – like the rest of me – is large.

This results in some hilarious problems.

my experience with suki

Air pulsation toys generally need to “seal” on/around your clitoris (or nipple) to work effectively. If there’s too much of a gap where the nozzle meets your skin, the sensation (and the sound) hiccups, presumably because the fluttering silicone lens inside the toy goes off-rhythm.

The first time I put the VeDO Suki over my clit, the toy’s noisy hum spluttered into what can only be described as loud, fluttering farts.

A larger view of the Suki on the strange blue cushion, revealing it's a whoopee cushion.

Not drawn-out, human-like farts. It was more like the rapid butt burps of a blue hedgehog, or perhaps superhero speedster after some chili dogs. My partner and I shrieked with laughter while I frantically moved the Suki around, trying to find an angle where it wasn’t going to robotically toot. Applying lube to achieve a tighter fit only made the sound worse. Now it was wet farts.

If this isn’t your first Betty Butch review, then you know I’m pretty tolerant of weird sex toy sounds. The shrill, mechanical droning of robot tongues or rotating rabbits generally don’t bug me. The VeDO Suki’s noisy crackle-droning vibrations don’t bother me at all. If it only uttered an occasional flarp, I’d take it in stride.

But this isn’t a brief, random fart when the nozzle’s seal breaks. This is a loud, constant raspberry being blown in my nethers. When I start shaking from laughter, it gets louder and sloppier.

It’s absurd! I can’t work under these conditions.

My theory on why the Suki Sonic Stimulator farts is that – because my clit is too big for its petite nozzle – the sonic air waves (or whatever the fuck) seep out around it. The Suki is stronger than any Satisfyer or Womanizer I’ve tried, so the waves don’t dissipate the way others do without a suction seal. Combined with the powerful vibrations (which shake both me and the toy), things get… squeaky.

But damnit, Jim, I’m a reviewer, not an engineer. What do I know?

final thoughts, I guess

Peepshow Toys sent me the Suki in August of 2020. I have bravely tried to do my job numerous times in the past 2 years, but c’mon man. I love Jackass and Ludwig Ahgren. I have a 10 year old’s sense of humor. I can’t take this little fart simulator seriously.

I even tried passing off testing duties to my partner Buster, but the VeDO Suki farts on them too. Their clitoral hood (which fully buries their cock) prevents the Suki’s absurdly tiny mouth from getting a good gulp. The farts are sometimes worse.

Is the Vedo Suki a petite powerhouse? Yes. (I trust Felicity on this.) Is it a well-constructed toy? Yes. (I love the finger grip. I’ve gotta get my hands on the VeDO Yumi.) Can I tell you literally anything else about it with any degree of certainty? Nope! But I can tell you the Satisfyer Traveler is just as small, just as cheap, and has never farted on me.

If you have a dinky, fully exposed clit – or you’re a fart fetishist – you can find the VeDO Suki on Peepshow Toys for $55 USD. Use code BETTY at checkout to get 10% off your whole order.

Thank you, Peepshow, for sending me the Suki Rechargeable Sonic Pulsation Clitoral Stimulator by VeDO in exchange for an honest review.
