What is an oral sex simulator?
When I say “oral sex simulator,” I’m referring to a sex toy that provides stimulation that is in some way comparable to oral sex sensations. In this case, we’re talking about tongue movement.

The Rim Joy is like a palm-friendly version of the Ultimate Pleasure. Their tongues are nearly identical. The Rim Joy has removable nozzle so you have the option if you need help directing/steadying the tongue. It also has a warming function and a lid for dust-free storage and travel.
The Rim Joy’s tongue is firm, and it licks in steady, up and down windshield wiper strokes. The tongue simultaneously vibrates (a function you can’t turn off) with tickley, buzzy vibes. It moves with the same weight and push as a fingertip; its motor/anchor is stronger than the Ultimate Pleasure’s, so you can apply more pressure without the toy stalling. The Nu Sensuelle Trinitii is like a hybrid of the flapping and flickering style tongue toys. Within its small nozzle is a narrow silicone tab that looks like a flickering tongue toy’s, but wags like a flapping tongue toy. The Trinitii also offers powerful suction and a vibrating handle.
The Trinitii’s buttons are super easy to click. Like, so easy that this toy will regularly turn itself on in storage and scare the shit out of me at 2 AM.
The tongue element of this toy is interesting. It swipes up and down, never faster than a finger can wag, but unlike the similarly paced Rim Joy, the tongue is a small, smacky tab. It doesn’t offer the same broad pressure as the Rim Joy’s licking. Like the Aria Flutter, the tab is inside a nozzle – but the tongue is much closer to the entrance. Even if you have a “buried” clit, you’ll probably be able to reach the tongue.
The suction feature is frustrating. The nozzle is soft, so it’s super comfortable to have against my body. The suction is very strong, very direct (because the nozzle is so small) and thus can become painful very quickly. Some folks love really hard suction, so that wouldn’t be a problem… except there’s no quick release button. Once this thing sucks you in, you have to physically pull it off your clitoris. The Laguna Beach Lover is a self-thrusting (or rather, flapping) tongue. It has a handle with buttons to separately control its robotically wagging tongue and strong but buzzy/itchy vibrations.
If you’re looking for the best insertable tongue toy on this list, you’ve found it. The Laguna Beach Lover’s tongue is textured and spongy. The full tongue length rigidly flaps up and down, making it the longest functional tongue on this list.
It’s a little weird finding a good angle to use this toy on my clit, especially since I have thick outer labia that have to be parted. The tongue’s up and down swings are wide, so it knocks into my vulva as it licks. I often turn it to the side so I can get better clit coverage. It feels great, though. The French Kiss Charmer, Sweet Talker, and Casanova are bulb-shaped sex toys with tiny tongues. The tongues rapidly flutter to provide a harsh, flickering stimulation. The French Kiss toys are an acquired taste. Like the Zalo Hero and Shots Dreamy, the tongue tab’s flickering feels really abrasive and kinda sting-y. The Dreamy Clitoral Stimulator has a comfortable handhold and a short, open-faced nozzle with a tiny tongue tab. The tab flutters so fast it looks like a blur in use.
The Dreamy Clitoral Stimulator’s rapidly flickering tab is thicker, firmer, and half as tall as the French Kiss Casanova’s. So although it’s the same idea, the Dreamy’s tongue is closer, heavier – more thuddy than the whip-like French Kiss toys. The flickering feels more refined. Unlike other flicker-style tongue toys, I can comfortably use the Dreamy even before I’m aroused.

The Aria Flutter is a tiny easter egg with an even tinier “tongue.” Pop off the lid to reveal a soft silicone nozzle and the fluttering tab within.
Like the French Kiss Casanova (which has a stronger motor than the Flutter), the Aria Flutter’s tongue provides “sharp,” targeted stimulation. The Aria Flutter’s tongue is smaller and softer, which does reduce the slapping intensity. But the tongue is inside a nozzle, so you have no choice but to place it directly on your clit. If your clitoris is “buried” by your outer labia and your clitoral hood is thick/fixed, you might find the Aria Flutter can’t adequately reach you.

The Filare is unlike any of the other toy types in this guide. Its tongue-like feature isn’t a tongue at all: it’s a pair of beads that rotate in rapid circles beneath its silicone surface. This provides a rhythmic, swirling massage of stimulation that does feel strangely like an approximation of oral sex – but without the range or nuance.
The Filare Oral Sex Simulator is an intriguing alternative to traditional vibrators (and even to more flicky/flappy oral toys) because its sensations are so subdued. I never feel overstimulated from the Filare. That being said, I’m cautious about recommending it.
As sensual and pleasurable as the Filare’s unique massage is, it only works for me with its settings maxed. The Marvelous Flicker is one of the only toys on this list that really looks like a tongue (albeit cartoonishly smooth and hot pink.) Rather than move its tongue mechanically, the Marvelous Flicker moves from vibration – but only the very tip.
This toy is silicone from top to bottom. The tongue is firm, but flexible, so if you cram it against yourself it’ll bend to accommodate. It can be used as an insertable, if you don’t mind its modest size and thin, scooped shape.
Frustratingly, the Marvelous Flicker’s vibrations are stronger in its knob-shaped handle than in the tongue. The vibes are more rumbly (thumpy and deep-reaching) than buzzy (ticklish and shallow), but I’d still only classify the Flicker as low-to-medium strength. Because it’s a rigid toy and the vibrations aren’t especially strong, the flickering tip is… muted. It barely moves, and it doesn’t maintain that momentum when you hold it to your clit.
Compared to the thinner and more powerful Tongue-Gasm or proper Flicker-style tongue toys like the French Kiss Casanova, the Marvelous Flicker’s a flicky dud.

Holey Trinity is a triple-tongued vibrator that’s designed for simultaneous clitoral, vaginal, and anal stimulation. The central tongue vibrates while the two smaller tongues sway and swirl.
The Holey Trinity is an ambitious design. For it to work with your body, all three tongues have to line up with your individual anatomy. The tongues are pretty close together and don’t have a lot of flexibility, so the range of bodies the Holey Trinity will work with is really limited.

Like the Marvelous Flicker, the Tongue-Gasm’s tongue doesn’t move mechanically/robotically. The toy’s vibrations cause the tongue to move. But it’s so much better at it than the Marvelous Flicker.
The Tongue-Gasm’s firm silicone tongue thins out along a deep curve to form a whipping tip. The toy’s vibrations are strong and rumbly, so they’re actually very effective at flapping the tongue tip, which flickers so fast it’s a blur. Although the movement looks a lot like the French Kiss or Dreamy, the Tongue-Gasm’s tip is broader and provides a thumpier “lick.” It’s not as “sharp” as the French Kiss. It feels like rapid tapping, or a more friction-based manifestation of vibration.
The vibrations themselves are exquisite and by far my favorite on this list. I can bypass the flickering entirely and instead cup my clitoris with the tongue’s curve. The vibes travel into the handle though, which can make gripping it annoying considering it’s already unnecessarily huge.
While you can technically use the Ultimate Tongue-Gasm as an insertable, it’s not as comfortable as the Marvelous Flicker or Laguna Beach.

Like other rapid fluttering tongue toys, the Tongue-Gasm’s only similarity to oral sex is that the stimulation feels kinda bitey. But good bitey. With really delicious vibrations to back it up.
