Review: Neo Elite Glow-in-the-Dark 7.5 Inch Dildo & 7.5 Inch Dildo With Balls by Blush Novelties

I love glow-in-the-dark shit. It makes me think of buying glowing plastic bracelets at Pride, or flirting with cute nerds in neon-washed arcades.

I also love dual density silicone dildos.

Blush Novelties combined the two with new Neo Elite Glow dildos. They’re the same shape as the regular Neo Elites, but instead of being solid colors, they’re translucent with glow-in-the-dark cores.

Fucking around while wearing – or being surrounded by – eye-searing greens and blues is such a Saturday night in late June kinda mood. Fucking around while using glow in the dark dildos? That’s a mood I can maintain year-round, pandemic be damned.

neo elite glow dildo designs

Dual density dildos are fan favorites because they’re (usually) made with a rigid core and a squishy outer layer, making them feel similar to an actual penis. They’re more complicated to make than regular dildos, so they’re usually more expensive. The similarly sized – and widely beloved – Vixen Mustang is $114 USD.

Somehow, the Neo Elite Glows are just $30 USD. (Or $27 with code BETTY on Peepshow Toys.)

The Neo Elite Glow 7.5 Inch is tall, skinny, and comes in blue (pictured) or orange. It’s definitely on the realistic end of the dildo design spectrum, with a clearly defined head and urethral opening. There’s skin texturing and translucent veins branching all over the shaft. It’s 1.5 inches at its widest, which is about average for dildos and penises alike.

The 7.5 Inch with Balls feels girthier with a consistent 1.5 inches in diameter. Everything about this dildo is meatier than its ball-free counterpart: the head is much fatter, the coronal ridge is more prominent, and the veins are bulgier. The balls are dense but squeezable. It’s available in green (pictured) or pink.

These dildos are very flexible. The 7.5 Inch could be tied into a knot if it was a little longer, and the 7.5 Inch with Balls can be bent in half without strain. They’re great for helicopter dicking.

Both dildos have super effective suction cup bases (although the 7.5 Inch without balls stands up to a lot more active/in-use jostling.) Technically, they can both be used in a strap-on harness, but the 7.5 Inch with Balls will need some finagling.

The Neo Elite Glows are a smidge firmer than their non-translucent counterparts, which makes the 7.5 with Balls’ crown and veining more noticeable in use. The Neo Elite Glows’ surface feels more plastic-esque to the touch than the buttery, skin-soft Neo Elites, which translates to super slick thrusting.

I don’t think the differences between the neon Neo Elites and Neo Elite Glows are pronounced enough to warrant purchasing both versions of the toys. Unless you – like me – are a huge fan of the bright colors.

As for the glow… I usually just pop them under a table lamp for 20 minutes or so, and the glow lasts until long after I’m enjoying a post-sex snooze. As with any glow-in-the-dark thing, the longer it’s directly under a light, the brighter and longer it’ll glow.

our experience with the 7.5 inch (without balls)

The Neo Elite Glow 7.5 Inch is all about easy penetration. There’s no resistance to inserting it because the head is narrow and smaller than the rest of the toy. The shaft gradually thickens all the way down, so your body has time to adjust to the full width.

There’s no deep curve or bulbous head for concentrated g/p-spot stimulation, although its length and rounded tip make it comfortable for some light a-spot play if you’re exploring around your cervix. My partner/co-tester Buster doesn’t really feel the vein texturing in use (especially with lube) so the 7.5 Inch is just a long, sleek glide with every thrust.

If I ever write a listicle about my favorite dildos for anal, the Neo Elite Glow 7.5 Inch (or its plusher counterpart) will be right at the top. Not only is it easy to insert and adjust to, its firmer core keeps it from yielding/bending as much when the tighter muscles of your ass bear down. But it’s still skinny and flexible, so it moves with your body instead of against it.

Just keep in mind that – unlike the heftier 7.5 Inch with Balls – the 7.5 Inch is a little too snakey for targeted g/p-spot pressure massage.

If you’re looking for a similar experience with more girth (or a realistic skin tone – all the Neo Elites are bright neon), the Naked Addiction Dual Density also has a narrow head, veined shaft, and squishy outer layer.

our experience with the 7.5 with balls

Like the 7.5 Inch, the Neo Elite Glow 7.5 Inch with Balls is a smooth fuck with lube. The head is rounded so if you’re using it vaginally it won’t jab your cervix. The crowning ridge adds some pleasant pressure, but it’s not as impactful at g-spot stimulation as the Uberrime Uno or Vixen Mustang.

The 7.5 Inch and 7.5 Inch with Balls standing side by side.

The rigid inner core and the dildo’s upward-angled shaft keep the toy at an ideal arc if you’re focusing your thrusting efforts on your urethral sponge (where the g-spot is located) or prostate. It’s not as targeted as the Pure Wand’s deep curve or ultra-firm metal. But since Buster prefers a gentle, indirect massage over a pummeling, they really enjoy it.

Unlike the 7.5 Inch, Buster can feel the 7.5 Inch with Balls’ veins because they’re thicker. The veins add a soft, dragging stroke of stimulation when the toy is being thrusted. The 7.5 with Balls is also easier to hold because of its balls, although its suction cup is also sturdier to grip than the 7.5 Inch’s.

Visually, I think I prefer the Neo Elite 7.5 Inch with Balls in solid neon. But that’s only because it’s easier to see the mouth-watering details of the skin beneath the head and the texturing on the shaft. Mm, this is a pretty dick to suck.

final thoughts on the neo elite glows

I love the entire Neo Elite silicone line, both glow and non-glow. These are quality, body-safe dildos priced to be just as affordable and realistic feeling as PVC toys. But unlike PVC (and similar toxic materials) they’re non-porous (so you can sanitize them), non-toxic, and will last a lifetime.

So will the giggling as I crack a bunch of jokes about lightsabers and kryptonite dongs.

A lightbulb held over the Neo Elite Glows in the dark.

Glow-in-the-dark sex toys are – unsurprisingly – pretty popular. (Peepshow Toys carries a host of them, including strokers and pasties.) They can help you better navigate sex with the lights off, but – more importantly – they’re fucking fun. Not just because they’re silly, but also because they’re hot. I really enjoy avidly watching the dildo’s glowing core sink into my partner’s cunt in the dark.

The Neo Elite Glows’ shapes are basic, but not boring. Their suction cup bases make them multi-functional. They’re simple to care for: wash with face-safe soap and water, use water-based lubes, safely store with other body-safe toys. They’re just great toys.

In the future I hope to see abstract designs in the Neo Elite Glow line for those of us who prefer non-representational sex toys. Just sayin’, Blush Novelties!

Review: California Dreaming Laguna Beach Lover Oral Sex Toy by CalExotics

When I asked SheVibe for some oral sex simulators to review, I didn’t expect much from the strangely named, tongue-shaped CalExotics Laguna Beach Lover. The marketing describes the Laguna Beach Lover’s tongue as “flickering.” In my experience, that just means the toy’s tip flutters a […]
