Why am I so excited to review the Temptasia Twist Silicone Dildo Kit? Because I have vaginismus!
Vaginismus condition that causes my pelvic floor muscles instinctively spasm to prevent any form of penetration, including fingers and tampons. It’s often very painful. Sometimes I like to be silly and describe my vagina as being a mistrustful clam fortress, or being haunted by pussy bees, or FHNA (front hole – no admission.)
For a long time, I was fine with forgoing vaginal sex. Plenty of folks with vaginas do! But eventually my curiosity was piqued, and I started experimenting. I found that if I’m very aroused and I go very, very slowly, I can take dildos with up to a 1.1 inch diameter. Basically, a finger.
Unfortunately, my options for dildos in this size range are… limited. As are my options for even smaller dildos, which I need for warm up! But there are some small toys – SheVibe has about 20 dildos that are 1” and under – and more continue to surface. And you bet your ass I’m gonna review them all eventually!

about the temptasia twist silicone dildo kit
You used to be able to purchase the Temptasia Twist dildos as individuals, but SheVibe only carries the three dildo set. They’re made of buttery smooth, flexible silicone, making them body safe – no oily residue, no funky smells, and no harboring bacteria!
Besides their varying sizes, each of these dildos are identical: a gently sloped shaft that’s the same width from its head to its base, detailed with very subtle spirals and a heart-shaped suction cup base. The head isn’t tapered or bulbous, but is instead roundly snubbed.
Though designed for gentle g-spot stimulation, the Twist dildos can be used anally – and in fact, I think this kit is great for anal beginners who want something to thrust (as opposed to starting off with butt plugs.) The soft but broad suction cups provide plenty of protection against the ass’s natural tendency to suck everything in.
The heart-shaped base on the Temptasia dildos also means they can be used for strap-on play. Good news for penetration newbies and folks like me who need something small and gentle to fuck us silly!
let’s talk about sizing
The smallest of the Temptasia twist dildos – the Temptasia Twist Silicone Dildo Small – is 4.5 inches tall and 0.75 inches wide. For a real world comparison, it’s slightly thicker than one of my fingers, and over an inch longer.
The Temptasia Twist Silicone Dildo Medium gets a quarter of an inch wider and a whole inch taller (5.5” long and 1” wide), and the Large makes a similar sizing jump to a 7 inch height and 1.25 inch width. Penises are, on average, about 0.25 inches wider than the Temptasia Twist Large.
This makes the Temptasia Twist Kit the perfect set for folks who want to start very small. In fact, the only dildo – that I’m aware of – that’s thinner than the Temptasia Twist Small is part of Uberrime’s Minima trio (0.63” wide.) The smallest dilator in Blush Novelties’ Wellness Dilator Set is also smaller at just 0.5 inches.
Folks who want to graduate from a single, curious finger, or who are playing solo and want to start at a comparable benchmark, will be well-served by this set. The dildos’ mindfully gradual size increase makes them ideal for sizing up over time, or for warming up before using a larger toy (or person.)
my experience with the temptasia twist kit
The silicone used for these dildos is soft but not floppy. It’s firm enough to push past my unyielding muscles (the effectiveness will vary among vaginismus sufferers, as we all have different levels of fortress security) but not so rigid as to be uncomfortably. I can bend them in half with ease.
Penetration just feels like steady (painful) pressure to me, so the nuances of the Twists’ spiral texturing are lost on me. Buster – who uses the Large as a warm-up for anal sex – doesn’t notice them in use either. But I do feel the shaft’s slight curve, especially with the Temptasia Twist Small. It’s like a crooked finger persistently petting my insides, minus the worry of a fingernail slip.
My most frequent use of the Temptasia Twist Kit is to open my vag up with the Small, then, after awhile, switch to the Medium. If my body cooperates, we then pop the Medium into Buster’s harness for some very careful strap-on sex. The Small can technically be used in a harness as well, but its extra short length doesn’t work well for two fat folks. The heart-shaped base shared featured on all three Temptasia Twist Dildos is flexible, so it’s comfortable against the harness wearer, but it can fold up sometimes. Be mindful if your o-ring is stretchy or has too much of a gap.
I don’t have any surfaces to make use of the suction cups (which are very strong), but I sometimes chuck the Temptasia Twist dildos at my closet door like darts. If you lick the inside of the suction cup first, sometimes they’ll stick! Clearly a great suction cup. (Seriously, this doesn’t work for most toys.)
a confession, but not a failure
I can’t take the Temptasia Twist Large.
I’ve had this kit since April, but I’ve been unable to work up past the Medium’s 1” diameter. I’ve taken larger toys before, but this year’s various stresses have made me even more anxious about receiving penetrative sex, which means my so-called pussy bees have been in an especially furious flurry.
But that’s okay! Even if I never work back up to 1.25” diameter toys, I now have several options in the size range I can accommodate (and you bet your booty I’m gonna catch ‘em all.) But even if I didn’t have options, pleasure is an endless field of possibilities. An uncooperative vagina just means you’ve got extra encouragement to get creative.
final thoughts on the temptasia twist silicone dildos
The Temptasia Twist Silicone Dildo Kit is an affordable set of fairly-priced, nicely packaged, and thoughtfully considered penetration toys. The dildos’ soft (not squishy!), medium density silicone and intentionally simple design makes this set a comfortable choice for folks like me for whom penetrative sex is painful, or for cautious newbies who want a gentle start.
I may not be able to use the Temptasia Twist Large just yet (or perhaps ever?), but in the meantime I’ll keep enjoying the Small and Medium. I’m not always up for the Twists’ curved shafts (in which case I repurpose my Blush Novelties dilators as dildos), but when I am, the firm-yet-yielding pressure of their round tips rubs in all the right places…
You can find the Temptasia Twist Silicone Dildo Kit on SheVibe.

Oh my god, thank you so much for this review, it’s such a nightmare to find reviews for non-phallic dildos suitable for vaginismus. Love your whole site and appreciate all your recs!
This review was so helpful as another person with vaginismus. Thanks so much! I think the twist small sounds just right for me.
