I’m not sure why I – a comic book nerd with the sense of humor of a teenage boy – am allowed to review the Uberrime A-Spot Avenger. But I appreciate Betty’s confidence that I won’t just write 800 words of “smash” puns. I’ll do my best.
I’m probably allowed because I love large (and sometimes intimidating-looking) dildos.
This hulking, squishy silicone toy is the unofficial sequel to another comic-inspired Uberrime dildo: the Aqua-King. AKA one of my favorite dildos. It’s a bit smaller than the Aqua-King and doesn’t have the scalloped surface texturing, but it’s definitely a twin.
The A-Spot Avenger stands at 8.5 inches tall (with about 7.75 inches of that being insertable.) The head is the dildo’s widest insertable part, with a 2.07 inch diameter. The shaft narrows down to an above average 1.7 inch diameter. This dildo makes the average-sized Uno and Neo Elite 6 look puny.
Because it has a flared base you can use it in a harness or in the butt. It doesn’t have a suction cup but you can buy one separately.
The A-Spot Avenger comes in 3 color variants on SheVibe: the Incredible, the Mighty (red, yellow, black), and the Patriot (red, white, blue.) I love the Hulk-themed marbled marvel of green, purple, and glittery black. Betty keeps whining that the Cap-inspired one is prettier but I think the Incredible is more striking.
Like the Aqua King, the A-Spot Avenger has an arrow-like head that tapers at the tip, making it easier to insert. But while the Aqua-King only has 3 prominent ridges at the top, the A-Spot Avenger has 3 more towards the base.
what does the a-spot avenger do?
The A-Spot Avenger Dildo’s first set of ridges are meant to stimulate and massage the a-spot, while the bottom ridges are meant to provide additional stimulation to the vaginal walls (and potentially the g-spot if yours is closer to the vaginal entrance.)
If you’re unfamiliar with it, the a-spot is an erogenous zone that’s on the front vaginal wall (facing the clitoris.) It’s past the g-spot (which is usually a couple of inches in but varies) and in front of the cervix.
The a-spot is deeper in the vagina so it can be a bigger challenge to find. If you’re set on locating it just be patient with yourself and keep in mind everyone’s body and sensitivity level is different, it can take some dedicated exploring. It might not even really feel like a specific “spot,” but more like a more sensitive area.
Longer dildos with prominent heads like the A-Spot Avenger or Uberrime Astra can be helpful in finding and stimulating the a-spot. SheVibe has a whole a-spot dildo collection.
Personally, I don’t seek pleasure through a-spot or g-spot stimulation. My inner erogenous zones aren’t very sensitive and usually just feel uncomfortable when I go out of my way to massage them. As weird as it sounds, the sensation prickles my nerves and makes the bottom of my feet burn. So it’s not for everyone.
using the a-spot avenger
Using the A-Spot Avenger Silicone Dildo is pretty straightforward. You don’t need to assemble a couple of Chris’s, a billionaire playboy, and a reformed spy to help you use it. But no judgment if you want to. Just don’t invite Hawkeye unless he’s the one being written by Matt Fraction…
Even though its arrow head makes the A-Spot Avenger easier to insert, it’s always a good idea to warm up with smaller toys before taking on a big green monster. Maybe that puny Uno or Neo Elite 6 Inch I mentioned?
In use, A-Spot Avenger’s the top ridges provide a “pop” sensation against my pubic bone as the dildo is pushed in or pulled out. Thanks to the rounded edge and the softer density of the toy it isn’t jarring or painful for me. The smooth finish of the toy (there’s no surface texturing at all) and adequate lube keep the ridges from being draggy or pokey in any way. They just pleasantly push and pet with every thrust.
I like to use slow, even strokes because you can focus on how the toy is stroking you at the top and bottom of the vaginal wall. (Though to be honest the bottom ridges are way too low for my g-spot, if I wanted to reach it. If you want g-spot stimulation and yours is higher like mine, you’ll have to switch to much longer thrusts to drag the head down over it instead.) Thoughtful Bruce Banner kinda pacing.
Faster, Hulky thrusting creates heavier and rougher petting, and I need to reapply lube after awhile because it gets dragged off the ridges.
My go-to lube is Sliquid Sassy. It’s thicker and longer lasting than most water based lubes. If it starts to dry because smashing has gone on for awhile you can re-hydrate it with a spritz of water.
The Uberrime A-Spot Avenger’s base is easy to hold for solo use. It’s not too stiff so as to cause cramping fingers. It’s thick and sturdy enough for harness play, but with the larger Aqua-King around, we haven’t bothered strapping with it.
One of my favorite features of the A-Spot Avenger is the fact it has an “orientation nub” on its base. The nub lines up with the toy’s ridged side to help you know which side is up. It’s great to keep things aligned correctly, you’d be surprised at how easy it is to get a dildo cocked in the wrong direction while in use. It’s too small for me to rub my clitoris on though.
a-spot stimulation: avenger vs astra
Uberrime also makes the Astra, another a-spot specialist. They’re very different styles. The A-Spot Avenger stimulates your a-spot by wedging itself in place through girth and then roughly pets you with prominent but squishy ridges. The Astra curves up behind my pubic bone and targets the a-spot with a completely smooth, super firm head.
If the A-Spot Avenger is Hulk, muscling through with sheer size, the Astra is more like Black Widow: unyielding and precise. I feel like the A-Spot Avenger is more my speed, if a-spotting was something important to me. You don’t have to think as much about angles. But it doesn’t offer as much pressure as the Astra because it’s so soft in comparison.
final thoughts on the avenger
This dildo is girthy but not giant (if you want something Hulk-sized, maybe look at the Thanos dick dildo), ridged but not textured, and handsome as hell. Overall I do enjoy the A-Spot Avenger, even if I’m not overly fond of a-spot and g-spot stimulation. The ridges are enjoyable even if you’re not going out of your way to target “spots.”
You can get your choice of hero inspired fuckable on SheVibe for $99.00 USD at the time of writing this. Make sure you use the links in this review, this blog helps pay our rent lol.
