Review: Zeep Silicone Bug Vibrator by Cute Little Fuckers

An emerald green bug-shaped vibrator held in a white person's hand for scale.

My first Cute Little Fuckers toy – the Princette Puppypus – has a permanent spot on my bookshelf. I keep it in its box like a collectible figure.

This is mostly because it’s cute and I’m a fan of the indie company that brought it into being. But it’s also because the design was too uncomfortable to fuck. I haven’t used it since I finished my review last year.

But the second I saw Zeep, I knew I wanted to give Cute Little Fuckers another try.

Zeep is just as adorable as its predecessors, but its design feels more intentionally pleasure-focused. From its grindable belly to its flickering tip, the Zeep intrigued me – and SheVibe was happy to oblige my curiosity.

So how does this snuggle bug stack up?

The Cute Little Fuckers Zeep is meant to be a happy bug hiding beneath a leaf. Zeep’s simple, cartoonish shape features big round eyes, defined antennae, and shallow lines down a cylindrical body. The leaf portion of the toy is featureless and ends in a pointed tip. You can also get it in a light mint green.

At 4 inches long, Zeep is basically palm-sized. Easy to tuck in your back pocket on the way to a hookup! It doesn’t look like a sex toy, which can be advantageous if you need something that can hide in plain sight.

Zeep hits all the important facets of a modern sex toy: it’s made of body-safe silicone, it’s rechargeable, and it’s waterproof. Being silicone means it’s hypoallergenic, durable, and can be sanitized because it’s non-porous. Being waterproof means, yes, you can bring it along with you in the bath. But perhaps more importantly, you don’t have to fret over the mechanics when washing it with soap and water.

From my understanding, this toy uses the same (non-removable) bullet vibe as the other Cute Little Fuckers toys. It has just one button to control its 10 vibration settings, which include 5 steady speeds and 5 patterns.

“Zeep is a friend as varied and unique as you are,” reads this plucky little vibrator’s marketing. And it’s true: there are numerous ways Zeep can get you off.

You can grind against its various features. You can use its wide leaf for textureless vibes. If you have a clitoris, you can potentially tuck into one of its various crevices. You can use its tip for a pinpoint touch… or let the tip hover and flutter against you like my beloved “flicky licky” tongue toys.

unique experiences with zeep

I was optimistic about Zeep’s design, and it was warranted. Zeep’s design is cute and discreet, yes, but more importantly it’s versatile.

There are three ways I really like to use this toy:

• Laying back and rubbing its minimally textured body over my clit*
• Tucking it leaf-first between my labia while I’m sitting at my desk
• Using the pointy, fluttering leaf tip like an oral sex simulator

A close-up of the Zeep's textured features.

*Admittedly, Zeep isn’t ideal for grinding, at least not if you have a buried clitoris. Zeep’s body texturing is subtly recessed and tucked inside the leaf. But I have a big clit, so I can spread my chubby outer labia and rub my clit onto/into its crevices. (The design doesn’t offer a lot of pizzazz, but I still like rubbing between the antennae.) My partner’s smaller clitoris is obscured by a thick hood. No amount of squishing, spreading, or clever angling can help them make contact with Zeep’s minute details. I wish Zeep had bigger, bumpier texturing!

The Zeep fits nicely between my outer labia, which means I can use it hands-free if all I want is vibration. Treating my labia like a pocket is one of the benefits of being fat! When I tuck Zeep leaf-first, the soft and flexible edges of the leaf fold in so it’s situated comfortably. The vibrations (more on those in the next section) feel less buzzy this way.

(I wish I could ‘wear’ Zeep like this while wearing a strap-on harness, but if I move, my labia parts and Zeep drops out of place. It only works if my partner is riding me. If you’re keen on incorporating this toy into strap sex, you can instead slip Zeep into the front of an underwear-style harness.)

The flickering leaf tip is probably my favorite aspect of Zeep’s design. Like the French Kiss Casanova, Zeep’s vibrations make its thin, flexible tip flutter. If you leave room for it to move, the tip will rapidly patter against your clitoris, nipples, etc. It’s a sharp, jolty sensation enjoyed by those of us who like a lot of friction.

The Zeep isn’t as thrummy and satisfying as other flicker style “tongue” toys. But if you’re curious about them, Zeep’s pointy tip is a fun bonus to explore. You can also utilize the tip for ultra-pinpoint pressure by pressing it against yourself… But I feel like doing that just muffles the vibrations and it doesn’t feel as good as other parts of the toy.

Zeep’s narrower profile does a great job conducting vibrations from the embedded bullet. The vibes don’t get muffled/obstructed by the toy’s shape like Puppypus’s did. Instead, the vibrations burst across the toy’s whole surface. They rapidly shudder in an almost choppy way, not very rumbly (as in deep/massaging) but not just buzzy (meaning skittering/surface-only) either.

In terms of strength, the Zeep Silicone Vibrator is not a power house. It’s got way more spirit than the battery-powered Iroha Zen, but even its highest setting can’t match the middle settings on similarly small vibes like my beloved Noje Fauna or We-Vibe Touch. But if you’re used to wispy, brandless bullet vibes, the Zeep will give you better range.

My favorite setting is probably the first: a pleasantly mild almost-rumble. It’s gentle and lets me appreciate the toy’s different offerings. From there, the buzziness builds quickly. If I’m not mindful of how much pressure I put on the toy, the vibrations can feel itchy. This is exacerbated (or enhanced, if you like some tickle/buzz) by Zeep’s sides fluttering like a superspeed cuttlefish during use.

Cute Little Fuckers Zeep isn’t a toy I grab if I wanted a quick, easy, or guaranteed (assuming my body is up for it) orgasm. I have my mini wands for that. Zeep is something I grab if I want to take my time and experiment.

If you need strong vibrations or you’re a rumbly vibrations purist, Cute Little Fucker’s toys aren’t for you. But we’ve got the PalmPower Pocket if we need little, cute, and powerful.

final thoughts on zeep

Testing Zeep has been a much better experience than testing Princette Puppypus. Zeep won’t be joining my bedside table – few toys do when you own hundreds of them – but I won’t be banishing it to my bookshelf either. (Cute Little Fuckers’ new, less wasteful packaging is less display-oriented anyway.)

Zeep feels like an actual sex toy beneath its adorably inviting aesthetics. It’s interestingly designed, multi-functional, and offers adequate (albeit buzzy) vibrations.

I think Zeep would genuinely make a great beginner/first sex toy purchase. Zeep is intentionally suited for exploring your (ever-changing) pleasure preferences. You can take it along as you try out broad stimulation, pinpoint stimulation, flickering friction, grinding, harness play, etc.

That being said, if you’ve already got a full toy drawer, I don’t think Zeep is a must-have addition. Unless you’re invested in its looks or want the convenience of an (imperfect) all-in-one. In that case, have at it – this friendly little bug is ready to snuggle.

Mine is keeping me company while I continue to excitedly watch Cute Little Fuckers grow.

Find the Zeep on SheVibe in Emerald Green or Mint Green for about $70 USD.
