Like almost every silicone sex toy from indie darling Uberrime, the Uno Silicone Dildo’s name comes from Latin.
“Uno” means “The First,” which is a fitting title for a dildo that’s designed to be a step up from fingering. Its unimposing size and medium-firm density make it a great choice for someone’s first dildo.
uno silicone dildo design
All of Uberrime’s current toys are sculpted and poured by hand in a little studio here in the sunshine state. Their designs include invitingly realistic cocks, fantastical monsters, and unique abstract shapes.
The Uno Dildo is one of the abstracts, with an oval-shaped head for attentive g-spot or prostate stimulation. Unlike the Praesto – one of Uberrime’s other budget-friendly basics – the Uno has very little curve to its shaft. The g/p-spot targeting comes from the head’s flat face, which can be angled and rubbed like pressing fingers.
Uberrime proportioned the Uno to be comfortable for first time dildo users and people who prefer their insertables on the slim side. The toy’s widest point is the lower half of its head, which is 1.45 inches in diameter. The rest of the toy is much thinner.
(If you’re exploring penetration, but you haven’t become accustomed to fingers or a penis already, you might want to consider a progression-based set like the Temptasia Twist Kit instead. The smallest dildo in the kit is even slimmer than a finger!)
In addition to being modest in size, the Uno Silicone Dildo is flexible but medium-firm. (Silicone sex toys vary in firmness, from ultra-squishy to rockhard. The Uno is somewhere in the middle!) You have to give it a good squeeze to feel any squish. The shaft can be folded over by hand but doesn’t bend out of place when thrusted.
The Uno is my favorite density for anal dildos. It’s firm enough to be easy to insert and move (doubly important for strap-on sex), but not so rigid that it feels jabby.
SheVibe carries the Uno in glittery orangesicle and limeade green. You can find it in several other bright colors on Uberrime’s own site. Although the Uno is technically a single color dildo, there’s some beautifully artsy swirling to its pigments. The glitter provides an additional all-over shimmer that sparkles when you turn the toy in the light.
our experience with the uno dildo
Everything about the Uno Silicone Dildo is sleek: the textureless silicone surface, the bluntly rounded tip (so as not to jab your cervix if you have one), the transition between shaft to head. A dollop of lube is plenty to get the Uno gliding.
The Uno’s design imitates the experience of being fingered in two ways. First, the head ends in a smooth ridge that pops like come-hithering fingertips on your g/p-spot as you thrust the toy. Second, the head’s wide, flat face pets against your inner walls like flattened out fingers. My partner and co-tester Buster finds the simultaneous pop-and-rub sensation incredibly pleasant. They like sticking to slow thrusts that let them drag the stimulation out.
Unlike the Amo’s more intense head ridge, the pressure from the Uno’s head is insistent but gentle. It won’t forcefully milk your g/p-spot like the Njoy Pure Wand, but it will have a very engaging conversation with it.
Using the Uno on Buster is a very different experience than our usual (big and squishy-soft) dildos. The head’s similarities to fingering make it feel like an extension of my own reach. It can obviously go deeper than actual fingers, so I can tease all the way up to Buster’s a-spot. The Uno also doesn’t get muscle cramps or have fingernails to worry about, so I can take my time exploring different speeds and angles for rubbing over their g-spot.
I only have one genuine complaint about the Uno Dildo. It doesn’t have a raised line on the base to remind you which side of the dildo is which, like the Praesto does. (You can listen to me praise it in my video review.) If you’ve ever used a dildo (especially on another person), you’ll understand why that addition is super useful!
using the uno for strap-on sex or anal
The Uberrime Uno is shorter than the dildos I prefer to use in a strap-on harness. As a fat person with a fat partner, I need a few more inches to reach with. But it does have a nice, wide, medium-firm base that’s not as likely to bruise your pubic mound. (Some harnesses don’t leave much room for bases, so keep in mind the Uno’s is a fair bit wider than the toy itself.)
Like the much larger Aqua King, I can feel the Uno’s head when it pops over my partner’s pubic bone or pulls against their asshole, so it’s easier to stop myself from accidentally pulling out in the middle of fucking.
As I suspected it would be, the Uno is a good anal dildo. Inserting it might be trickier for novice butt stuffers because of the snubbed (rather than narrow) tip. Once it’s in, the Uno Silicone Dildo is a nice mild fill. It’s is firm enough to not fold out of place, but soft enough to not feel like a ramrod to delicate behinds. Its sleek, texture-free surface carries lube really well and is painless to thrust.
The Uno’s head feels even gentler anally than vaginally. The ridge makes a good tease when thrusting, because I can draw the dildo out until the head is starting to force Buster’s asshole into a stretch again, before plunging back in. They could also feel a bit of pleasurable pressure from the ridge when I simultaneously fucked them vaginally.
If you prefer your anal insertables modestly sized and textureless, the Uno’s a good choice. I think it would make a great next step from butt plugs to moving penetration.
final thoughts on the uberrime uno
Whether you like this dildo is going to depend on what you’re buying a dildo for.
The Uno isn’t for silicone cock connoisseurs looking for wild new experiences. It’s simple, and it wants to be. It’s “bland” – no texture, a subtle curve to the shaft, and inoffensive medium firmness – yet it sets itself apart with its uniquely shaped head (which is effective, but not intense) and densely swirled coloration.
Uberrime’s Uno is a good choice to be “The First” for someone looking to buy a dildo, if g-spot or prostate stimulation is something they’re keen on exploring.
It’s especially ideal if you’re wanting to progress to something thicker and longer than fingering. The head’s stimulation is similar to the sensations you can create with two or three pressing/rubbing fingers. I love that it makes the experience of using a dildo feel closer to the kind of sex my partner and I have when dildos aren’t in reach. I genuinely didn’t expect that.
If the Uno sounds like the one for you, you can get it in orange or green on SheVibe for $50 USD. Not bad for a hand-crafted dildo!
Thank you, Uberrime, for sending me the Uno Silicone G-Spot / Prostate Dildo in exchange for an honest review.
