Geeky Sex Toys is one of my favorite indie sex toy companies. Their pleasure fare is all fandom themed: D20 ballgags, lightsaber dildos, etc. Sex toys are fun to use, but GST incorporates that fun directly into their designs, and then brings them into being with body-safe silicone.

The latest addition to my growing Geeky Sex Toys collection is Drodong the Dragon Dildo. Sent to me by GST for review, Drodong takes inspiration from Game of Throne’s infamous dragons (in particular, Drogo Jr.)

I wasn’t as fond of Game of Thrones as many of my nerdy peers. I was impressed by the acting and enamored with the visual spectacle. But the writing wasn’t half as clever or interesting as the characters that shouldered its ramifications. I thought a quarantine marathon with our roommate would change my perspective, but when you play the game of thrones, you win or you get frustrated and bail after season 6.

I have much fonder feelings for Drodong.

Drodong the Dragon is about 8.5 inches tall, with a narrow tip and a muscular shaft that’s 1.9 inches in diameter at its widest. It’s an intimidating piece at first sight – all those spikes! But the spikes are soft, blunt-tipped, and bend over at the slightest nudge. This scaled steed is quite safe to ride.

I’m fascinated by the shape of this toy. The shaft is abstractly constructed like a dragon’s full body, with a snout-like tip to its head, ribcage ridging on the underside of the shaft, and the swell of thighs towards the base. The topside is lined with smooth scales that are molded together so there’s no abrasiveness or crevices.

Drodong’s base is flat, which means there’s no suction cup and it’s not useable in a harness. You can buy detachable separate suction cups from other retailers if they’re a must. The spikes – though harmless – can make getting a good grip on the Drodong Dildo a little tricky, but they look so cool I can’t fault them.

This dildo is what I call medium-firm. It has some meaty give when you squeeze it, and you can bend it by hand with some force, but it’s still pretty rigid. That does make its pointy head kinda pokey, so keep that in mind if you have a sensitive cervix or your ass is especially opposed to prodding.

Drodong the Dragon is only available in one coloration, but it’s a fuckin’ beauty. There’s a glittery, almost coppery sheen to the muddled maroon silicone. Black peeks out from the spikes and deeper divots in the shaft. This is unmistakably Drogon’s dick.

Don’t know how to ride a dragon? Nobody does. Until they ride a dragon.

The Drodong’s narrow head makes insertion easy (especially anal insertion), because it allows your body to open up gradually. Its dense silicone doesn’t yield to clenching muscles. Buster (my partner and dildo tester) insists the triangular tip has never poked them in use. But since I’m the one doing most of the thrusting, I can’t help but be extra cautious anyway.

With adequate lube, the Drodong’s scale-textured topside rubs over their pubic bone as an indistinct whisper of stimulation. (Buster can’t decide if they’d prefer the scales to be more prominent, since that might result in scratchiness.) Its girthy belly and muscled sides are much more noticeable in use, pushing Buster open and keeping them stuffed full. When Buster clenches, they’re intimately aware that this is a dragon: thick and firm, taking without compromise. It’s a captivating combination.

Drodong the Dragon Dildo doesn’t have a g/p-spotting head or curved shaft. Instead (if you’re using it vaginally), its head tucks into Buster’s anterior fornix, the sensitive recess in front of the cervix. It does this without me really trying, since the shaft’s distended underside angles the toy upward. Buster’s posterior fornix (behind the cervix) is more sensitive, so I thrust in a low-scooping gesture instead.

Because the silicone is firmer than, say, Dix the Destroyer, it carries vibrations pretty well. I can cram the Magic Wand Rechargeable against its flat base, and it’ll tremble all the way up to the tip. Wand vibrators work best for this, since they’re often significantly more powerful and rumbly than other vibrating toys.

When thrusting or leaving the Drodong fully sheathed, the soft spikes on its base brush against Buster’s outer labia. They don’t poke or tickle, but they’re a little reminder of the toy’s imposing shape. This adds to the fantasy element/experience without having to hurt for it. They don’t bug me at all when I’m holding the toy.

While the shaft’s texturing isn’t especially impactful internally, it makes for really engaging humping. Buster likes to rub and grind against the Drodong’s various slopes and scales. It’s an incredibly sexy experience to rub off on the Drodong before moving to take its rigid length. Almost like taking the time to tease a sentient reptilian lover before fucking.

There is no other toy that prompts me to whisper dracarys only semi-ironically as I move to slide it into place.

Unlike many fantasy dildos, which are made in ultra-squishy silicone, the Drodong sticks to its source material and offers a firmer-density take on reptilian cocks. But despite its erection-esque rigidity and imposing appearance, this dildo is no monster. In fact, texture-lovers who are seduced by its scales might want to look for a more exotic design, because the Drodong is a mostly smooth ride.

That being said, this dildo is not for first time dragon tamers. Its 1.9 inch diameter is half an inch girthier than the average dildo or penis. Its snout-tipped head is a potential poker that needs to be carefully managed. (If you know your way around a cervix, don’t have one, or are using the Drodong anally, you’ll be fine.)

I love this dildo so much more than the show that inspired it. It’s simultaneously unique and recognizable; beastly-looking yet easy-going; collectable but functional. Like all of Geeky Sex Toys’s designs, the Drodong offers nerds pervy possibilities grounded in familiar territory. Whether “normal” sex toy designs intimidate, disinterest, or under-serve you, Geeky Sex Toys has creative alternatives that look just as good on your action figure shelf as they do in your bed. I love them for it.
