Review: Crystal G Wand Rose Quartz Dildo by Le Wand

The Le Wand Crystal G Wand is a gorgeous piece of carved quartz art.

I’ve loved rocks since I was a kid (I’m autistic, big surprise.) It was inevitable that I’d get my hands on a rose quartz crystal dildo, even though I’m not drawn in by the “spiritual enlightenment” marketing.

As a exvangelical, I don’t engage with any form spirituality. I don’t believe crystals have metaphysical capabilities. To me, the Crystal G Wand is just a very pretty, fairly fuckable mineral.

crystal dildo design and features

This is my second dildo from Le Wand (which is a B-Vibe brand.) Earlier this year I reviewed the Le Wand Arch, a stainless steel g-spot toy I bought for my birthday.

The Crystal G Wand comes in rose quartz or black obsidian. It’s made from real crystal, not dyed glass or ‘copycat’ rocks. The product description says B-Vibe sources the crystal from “a region in China renowned for its high-quality crystals.” They emphasize that “working conditions are ethically maintained” and “there is minimal environmental impact.”

That’s super non-specific so it could be spin, but it’s common even for ethical makers to be vague in order to avoid poachy competitors.

At my request, B-Vibe sent me the Crystal G Wand in rose quartz. Rose quartz is naturally non-porous, but the instructions recommend “placing a condom over the product” if you’re going to share it. (For more on my thoughts about crystal as a body-safe material, check out Feeling Jaded.) The dildo has been polished smooth.

I’m in awe of this rose quartz. The varying shades of light pink are shot through with white. (In fact, in some lights it looks mostly white.) The crystal is translucent, so you can really appreciate its cloudy layers. I often find myself holding it towards the window and turning it slowly so I can admire the cosmic storm of details inside.

The Crystal G Wand is the most unique dildo in Le Wand’s crystal sex toy line. Unlike its straight-line peers (the Le Wand Crystal Wand and Slim Wand), the dual-ended G Wand is fashioned into a dramatic curve for g-spot stimulation.

The bulbous-headed end is tightly angled (think ‘come hither’ fingers) for targeted massage. Both tips are kinda pointy, which is something my partner didn’t love about the Le Wand Arch.

At its widest point, the Crystal G Wand is about 1.34 inches in diameter. That’s technically just below average for insertable sex toys or penises. But because it’s made of unyielding material (some might even call it rock hardhere’s my ko-fi), this dildo is going to feel girthier in use.

Le Wand includes an optional silicone pad with a textured face. If the distance between your clitoris and vagina is short enough, you can use it for clitoral stimulation. It also gives the toy a flared ‘base’ so you can use the Crystal G Wand anally. Since the pad is firm and incredibly difficult to get on and off, I trust it as a flared base.

This dual-ended dildo is handsomely packaged. (Add a bow and it’s ready to gift!) The box it comes in is sturdy cardboard, and the cover has a pink marble print with shiny gold veining. There’s a rigid foam insert to keep the Crystal G Wand safe. You could keep the box for dildo storage (I’m repurposing mine for desk clutter instead), or use the padded drawstring bag it comes with. The bag is high quality.

You also get a nearly 100 page hardback pamphlet. It details safety, care, and cleaning – but it also gets into the woo. It’s filled with the same carefully vague stuff I’ve come to expect from crystal sellers. (That being said, Le Wand is a lot less egregious than its competitors. The book admits there’s no scientific backing for crystal healing, and they acknowledge skeptics.)

our experience with this quartz g-spotter

Rose quartz crystal is cold to the touch. It warms up with body heat (and in my experience, warms up faster than our stainless steel dildo) so if you’re not looking for a temporary chill, give the Crystal G Wand a minute in your hand or cuddled between your thighs.

I’ve owned rose quartz knickknacks in the past, but I forgot how startlingly light it is. The Crystal G Wand is indistinguishable from glass dildos of the same size – and to be honest, that goes for the sensation, too. Sleek, firm, but with no more heft than the average rigid silicone dildo. It doesn’t offer the same weighty massage as its steel sister, the Le Wand Arch. It’s rock hard, not rock heavy.

Even if they’re not heavy, firm toys with curves like the Le Wand Crystal G Dildo have to be wielded with care. I mostly stick to rocking/dipping gestures instead of traditional thrusting. That way the toy curves under the internal pubic bone instead of potentially bashing into it. Unlike most silicone dildos, this rose quartz dildo isn’t going to bend out of the way once it presses against your body.

I’m not sure why Le Wand chose to give the Crystal G Wand’s bulbous head a pointed tip. The point is smooth and snubbed, but it can still be pokey if you’re not careful. I guess it’s for folks who like the ultra-targeted pressure of a single fingertip. My partner Buster – who tests all the insertable sex toys featured on this blog – prefers the flat ‘face’/front of the head for broader g-spot massage.

The Le Wand Crystal G is pricier than the similarly proportioned but ultra-straight Crystal Wand. But the added cost of construction gets you a much more functional design. The angled neck (which tucks the G Wand’s head against your insides like curled fingers) lets you do something with the toy besides just stick it in and enjoy the pressure. You can target and stroke the urethral sponge (where the g-spot is located) with much more ease.

And if the curve is too intense for you, the Crystal G Wand’s dual end design gives you a straight side to use instead.

That being said, the Crystal G Wand is essentially just a curvy stick of mineral. There’s no texture, no vibration, no heavy weight. Just slick, seamless pressure (and “soft feminine energy” apparently.) If that doesn’t sound exciting to you on its own, you might want to try something more traditional.

Technically, the Crystal G Wand does have another feature: the textured silicone pad.

Le Wand specifies that the pad is “for added external pleasure,” but the only external place it stimulated for Buster was their urethra. Instead, we use it as a handhold. Buster (who’s the only one with the finger strength to yank this thing into place) positions it low on the straight end of the dildo so my lube-slippery fingers have something to grasp while the angled end is in use.

Handling this rose quartz dildo without the pad can be tricky. It has absolutely no surface texture! Even if you’re holding it by the curved end, you can’t get a real grip unless both your fingers and the toy are dry. If you’re smarter than me, you’ll just make sure not to overuse the lube (and maybe keep a handtowel handy.)

final thoughts on the crystal g dildo

The Crystal G Wand Rose Quartz Dildo is a unique piece. Its rigid g-spotting curve, sleek finish, and narrow tips make it both impactful and kinda complicated to use. (This is not a dildo I’d recommend as a first sex toy purchase!) The bonus silicone pad doesn’t add any pleasure, but it does help with handling this slippery work of art.

The Crystal G Wand is arguably the most beautiful dildo I own. I might not believe in crystals having metaphysical powers, but I do believe in loving how my sex toys look. I spend as much time staring at this rose quartz dildo as I do using it for sex.

But although my partner and I prefer this dildo aesthetically, we both prefer the Le Wand Arch functionally. The added weight and more specialized shaping (I’m still obsessed with the bump on the smaller end) make us reach for the Arch twice as often.

If you think you’ll prefer this quartz crystal beauty, you can buy the Le Wand Crystal G Wand in obsidian or rose quartz.
