Contrary to how society infantilizes disabled folks, we do indeed fuck.

Accessibility isn’t often prioritized in sex toy design. There are folks outside of the established industry hoping to change that, but I occasionally see well-known companies take a crack at it too.

One such attempt is the 3Some Wall Banger Deluxe from Pipedream. The name is unforgivably corny, and the marketing makes no mention of catering to folks with limited mobility. Maybe the designer was just making things more convenient for the average abled user. But with a few exceptions, accessible tech has always had to center abled consumers to justify production costs.

Wall Banger Deluxe has multiple unique accessibility features:

  • Stretchy silicone strap on the base that you can wear on your fingers
  • Single-button remote control
  • Removable suction cup base with pull tabs for easier release

I’m not a fan of Pipedream for a number of reasons, including racist marketing for their older products and inconsistent product quality. But when the opportunity to review the Wall Banger Deluxe came from Betty’s Toy Box, my enthusiasm for accessible design won out.

And honestly? This toy is pretty neat.

The Wall Banger Deluxe is part of Pipedream’s new 3Some line. The line includes two variations on the Wall Banger Deluxe: the Wall Banger Rabbit, and the Wall Banger G-Spot.

This vibrator is made of body-safe silicone and ABS plastic, which means it’s non-toxic and non-porous. The silicone has a silky-smooth finish, and wraps in a spiral design down the shaft. The plastic has a crisp sheen to it.

You can only get the Wall Banger Deluxe in hot pink, because ‘pink is the most popular sex toy color’ is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Although only a little above average (1.6ish inches in diameter), the Wall Banger Deluxe feels much wider in use than a flexible dildo or penis of the same size. This is because it’s firm to protect its motor. If you’re used to petite insertables, please keep its chunky size in mind.

It’s rechargeable via a magnetic USB cord. Like most cell phones, you can plug it into a USB slot (like on your computer), or into an outlet adapter. The marketing copy says a full charge (which takes 90 minutes) lasts about an hour, but in my experience the Wall Banger lasts a lot longer.

The Wall Banger Deluxe has a single button (and a single button remote) to control its 10 vibration settings. There are 3 increasing speeds, and 7 patterns. I’m not a fan of patterns, personally.

vibration quality and noise level

I like vibrations that are rumbly – like many wand vibrators – because they feel fuller and resonate deeper. The 3Some Wall Banger Deluxe’s vibrations are more on the buzzy end of the spectrum, meaning they mostly flutter on the surface of your skin. Some people prefer buzzy vibrations because they’re harsher, but I find them to be kinda numbing.

These vibrations have a lot of extra tickle-along-the-surface to them, almost like a ripple of static electricity. When I used the Wall Banger on my clit, I had to hold my labia apart because I couldn’t stand the secondhand buzz.

The Wall Banger Deluxe is pretty strong, and its highest setting gets close to matching (or surpassing) the Satisfyer Sunshine or Charming Smile in muscle. I just wish it was as rumbly as the Satisfyers.

The very first of its 3 steady settings is aggressive. If you’re someone who needs a gentler speed to warm up, you’ll have to grab something else first. Like most strong toys, the vibrations crawl up into the handle. Beware if you’re prone to itchy fingers!

I’m genuinely surprised at how quiet the Wall Banger Deluxe is. It definitely has an audible droning buzz, but it’s not so loud that your roommate will hear it through the wall.

using it as a dildo

The 3Some Wall Banger is bluntly shaped. The tip is broad, rounded, and the same width as the rest of the shaft. There’s no tapering to help open you up to the toy’s girth. Because the toy is so firm, you’re literally fucking yourself with a wide, unyielding length right from the get-go.

According to my partner Buster – who tests all the insertables for these reviews – that can be a damn good time if you’re looking for a textureless stretch. But make sure you’re using lube and you’re physically aroused enough to take it.

In use, Buster could feel the spiral shaping to the shaft but felt like it didn’t add anything to the experience because the ridges are so minimalistic and smooth. There’s no curve or defined head either, so the Wall Banger Deluxe is no g-spotter. For that, you’ll have to look at the Wall Banger G-Spot.

The toy’s buzzy vibrations didn’t annoy Buster when the Wall Banger was inserted. Their vagina isn’t as picky as the rest of their genitals. But “this feels okay” isn’t enough to justify recommending the 3Some Wall Banger unless you’re already sold on the accessibility features. The Satisfyer Sunshine’s pleasant rumbling is a great example of quality vibrations in a budget package. I wish something similar had been achieved for the Wall Banger.

Because it doesn’t flare out enough at the base, this vibrator is not anal safe on its own. If you’re going to use it anally, make sure it’s either being held firmly by a partner, or has the suction cup attached.

using the suction cup and finger strap

Suction cups allow for more creative and/or physically interactive toy use, but they don’t work on all surfaces! My walls are too textured for the Wall Banger by Pipedream’s suction cup to get a good seal. Ironic. Meanwhile, I can suction it to Buster’s desk and lift the whole thing off the ground.

The Wall Banger Vibrator laying on its side, showing off its finger strap. Beside it lays the small, circular remote, and the detached suction cup.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best designed suction cup on any sex toy I own or have seen. It’s optional, so it doesn’t get in the way of your play if you don’t need it. It has a lip on the rim so you can easily pry it off the toy. There’s a small tab on the suction cup itself, which needs only a tiny tug to effortlessly break the cup’s suction/seal. Who designed this? Can I buy them lunch?

The Wall Banger’s base has a thin, stretchy strap you can tuck 2-3 fingers through for a more stable grip. This ensures you’re able to keep holding the toy and/or fucking yourself, even if your grasp is impaired or you’re slippery with lube.

I love the strap, but there are two downsides to it. One, the toy is pretty bulky, so if you don’t have much lift strength you’re still going to struggle with holding the toy. Two, there’s a gap where the straps fit into the plastic base. I have to use a bottle brush to keep the gaps clean.

the wall banger deluxe remote

As if these two features weren’t cool enough, the Wall Banger Deluxe also has a magnetic remote. It clicks to the toy’s base so they can be stored together. As someone who lost the We-Vibe Moxie’s remote for several months last year, I appreciate that kind of convenient design.

Remotes aren’t just for partnered use. They allow you to control the toy yourself without having to reach for it. That means you can suction cup the Wall Banger to the wall (if your wall has the right smoothness/texturing) and use it doggy style without interruption.

The remote can’t turn the Wall Banger on by itself. You have to turn the toy on with the button on its base first – then you can adjust the settings via remote. We’re able to use the remote through blankets and from across the room.

The button is easy to feel out on the remote’s surface. I wish that both the remote and the Wall Banger Deluxe itself had more than one button. It’s a pain in the ass to click back through every setting if you want to decrease the toy’s speed.

final thoughts on the 3some wall banger

While I don’t find the Wall Banger Deluxe’s vibrations particularly great, the “extra” features this vibe offers are fantastic. They’re great for users with limited or impacted mobility, and they make the toy more versatile.

If you’re not put off by buzzy vibrations, the Wall Banger Deluxe is made for creative banging – for more folks than the average slimline vibe.

You can find the Pipedream 3Some Wall Banger Deluxe Vibrator With Remote on Betty’s Toy Box for $80 USD. You can also find its g-spotting variant, the 3Some Wall Banger G-Spot.

  1. I’m so torn on this because pipedream are a pretty shitty company and the girth and buzzy vibrations sound like a major turn off to me, but the concept is so good. It reminds me a little of the Her Ultimate Pleasure, another pipedream toy with a great original concept.

Also tabby bits on suction cups are the best invention ever, some of lovehoney’s newer sillicone dilds use them and they are so good, especially since the only other way to easily get the suction cup off is to get your nail under the side and risk scratching up whatever it’s stuck to
