After it was briefly showcased during a Blush Novelties-sponsored class at a local sex shop, my partner and I bought the Temptasia Clitoris & Nipple Pleasure & Enhancement System for my birthday. Previously, I relegated pumping to my “weird kinky shit I probably won’t actually get around to” list. It seemed so intimidating, and – if you wanted a decent pump – expensive.

But the Blush gods do smile upon me, because the Temptasia line of pumps is neither.

The Temptasia Clitoris & Nipple System is under $50 on Peepshow Toys. There’s a cheaper incarnation – the Temptasia Beginner’s Clitoral Pump – but this one looked like the easiest and sturdiest of the two, and it came with more cylinders than the Beginner’s.

Despite not also bearing the “beginner’s” title, the Clit & Nipple System is definitely first time friendly. It’s robustly designed and straightforward to use. We’ve liked it so much, I recently asked SheVibe to send me the Temptasia Pussy Pump because it had the same handle. (And same awful packaging. You can read my review here.)

The Temptasia Clit & Nipple Pleasure System is technically two parts: the pump itself, and the clear acrylic attachments. The pumps is manual, and pretty uncomplicated to use. Place the cylinder over your clitoris or nipple, and pull the trigger. With each draw, the skin encased in the cylinder is pulled harder/tighter, which creates temporary swelling and heightened sensitivity.

If you experience pain, discomfort, or an impromptu visitor, you can release the pressure instantly using the quick release lever.

Once you’ve pumped a few times to create a vacuum seal, the cylinder can be detached from the handle tubing, which allows you to keep wearing it while playing. This is my favorite part of the Clit & Nipple System, because it gives you room to really take advantage of the inherent sexiness of being cupped. Case in point: leaving the cylinder on your swollen, pulsing clit and pressing a wand against it to both defuse and magnify the vibrations… while getting strap-on fucked. Hello, Megan!

I definitely made the right choice in going with this style handle over the Beginner’s squeeze bulb. As I wrote in my review of the same-handled Temptasia Pussy Pump, “I’ve passed over dozens of flimsy pumps, too cautious with my money to take the risk. So I’m startled by how sturdy and effective the Temptasia Advanced systems are. They’re affordable but they’re not cheap.”

The pump handle seems bulky, even in my large hand, and its spring-loaded trigger requires more hand strength than a spray bottle (but not by much.) The grooves on the handle and texturing on the pumping lever make it easier to hold with lubed or nitrile-gloved fingers, which I appreciate as a messy queer!

The inclusion of a quick release lever (located behind and below the pump tubing) is what made me feel the most comfortable with the Temptasia line of pumps. I’ve seen (but not dared to use) budget pumps in the past that had no such lever: if you wanted the suction/pressure to cease after you’d already been pumping, you either had to tug the cup off or hold the lever while the air slowly wheezed out. With this pump, the pressure is released immediately with a soft little wshh.

Permanently attached to the Temptasia Clit & Nipple Pleasure System handle is 10 inches of flexible silicone tubing in bright, eye-catching red. It’s pliable without being limp, and it doesn’t flatten when pumping. It’s short enough that every pump is felt immediately and intimately; and it’s just long enough to be used solo, or to give a partner room to multitask.

Not permanently attached are the interchangeable cylinders. Each one is topped by a small white plastic chamber with a metal tab. To secure one to the tubing, simply insert the tube’s nozzle into the cylinder’s top, and listen for the audible click of the metal tab popping into place. (It’s not air-tight otherwise!) To detach the cylinder again for storage or untethered play, press the flat side of the metal tab and pull the tubing free.

You can click the metal tab to soften the pressure and make it easier to remove the cylinder from your body when you’re done playing, but I prefer to just plug the tubing back in and use the quick release lever.

I quite like the clitoris/nipple cylinder design. There’s a smooth lip at the cups’ opening, which prevents the cylinders from digging into your skin when you’re pumping. The thick acrylic is fantastically sturdy, and despite me being a clumsy asshole, they haven’t gotten cracked or scuffed. Tough toys made for rough bois!

There are three differently sized cylinders included in the Temptasia Clit & Nipple Pleasure System kit. We use them interchangeably on our nipples and junk; the largest is bigger than either of our clitorises, which means some of the surrounding skin is drawn into the cylinder as well. This doesn’t lessen the sensation at all.

For folks with clits/dicks who are on testosterone and have experienced growth (or who are just already girthy in that area), Blush Novelties does offer a larger sized clit/dick cups. SheVibe and Peepshow Toys don’t (presently) carry them. Fellow reviewer Indigo Wolfe found the cylinders too small for their body, so be mindful of the 1.5 inch maximum sizing!

In terms of finding a good fit, I’ve found that the cups get a better hold on breasts if you’re laying back (since boobs pillow out and are generally flatter in that position.) Similarly, because my partner and I have chubby outer labia that “buries” our clitoris, holding our labia spread and keeping pubic hair out of the pumping area helps a lot!

Before I talk about how this set worked for us, a reminder: everyone’s body is different, and the sensations and “results” you’ll experience from pumping will be unique to you. (As will your goals; for more on why people pump, check out my guide!)

For reference, my partner and I have very different nipples: mine are prominent and more sensitive than my clit, and Buster’s nipples are small, flat, and usually less sensitive than mine. My clitoris protrudes from its hood but is enveloped by thick outer labia that has to be spread for access. Buster’s dick – as they have titled that body part – is smaller and has a thicker hood, and is also “buried” in their labia.

When I use the Temptasia Clit & Nipple Pleasure System on my clit or nipples, each draw feels like a short bite-suck followed by a sustained sense of pressure, like a partner pulling your skin into their mouth with a gentle press of their teeth and then sucking. On my clit, the suction sort of ‘tugs’ at my hood and makes the root of my clit pulse, which is a feeling I don’t enjoy but don’t hate either.

In my Temptasia Pussy Pump review, I wrote, “I generally prefer slow draws on the pump over rapid ones, with lots of breaks to adjust to the pressure so it doesn’t hurt.” The same is mostly true with the Clit & Nipple System. Overall I prefer to take it slow, but sometimes I like to subject my nipples to fast, short pumps – it hurts so good!

I have more obvious swelling with my clit than my nipples, especially since my areola experience more of the puffy effect than my nipple itself. I never pump long enough to maintain the swollen aesthetic for more than a few minutes after removing the cylinder. As far as heightened sensitivity goes, it definitely does a number on my clit… weirdly, it makes my breasts more sensitive overall but not my nipples. (I wasn’t expecting much on my nipples – they’re already egregiously sensitive!)

When I asked Buster about their experiences, they said, “[Having the] detached cups on my nipples almost feels like having a larger, broader pair of clamps on them. [If you don’t pump a lot] before detaching the cylinders from the pump, they’re not super noticeable unless they get flicked or tugged on… On my dick it’s pretty intense. [Even with the cylinder detached it] still feels like it’s being tugged on. And even when I’m still I’m very very aware its there and encasing me which is extremely erotic. I really like how gender affirming the pump can be when used on my dick, it’s also a fun way to do quick chastity play that legitimately makes me feel like I’m stuck throbbing in a cock cage.”

Buster is more comfortable pumping than I am, so we usually pump their bits long enough to experience temporary sustained swelling. It’s very hot to see their dick, hood, and surrounding skin puffed up and slick – it actually makes being pinpoint with my tongue during oral a lot harder, but flat-tongued licks get a stronger reaction with the heightened sensitivity.

We both really enjoy pairing pumping with vibrations – whether that’s while the cylinders are still suctioned in place (which can be noisy but so worth it), or using toys after they’ve been removed and the skin is still swollen and hyper-sensitive.

final thoughts: do i recommend this clit & nipple pump?

The Temptasia Clit & Nipple Pleasure System gets a lot more mileage than our Temptasia Pussy Pump. I love the specificity and versatility of it, and I love how unique the sensations are and how they fit into our sex life. Pumping can be framed as purely for pleasure, or as part of a kink scene, but we prefer the latter – and the Clit & Nipple Pleasure System has just enough bite for it.

If you’re the least bit curious about using a pump on your nipples or clitoris (or cock, if you prefer to call it as such!) then based on my partner and I’s experiences, I highly recommend the Clit & Nipple System. It’s relatively easy to use, well-constructed (and thus more likely to withstand newbie fumbling), and is priced not to break your heart if you wind up not loving the sensation.

If you want a cheaper alternative, you can get the Temptasia Beginner’s Clitoral Pumping System, which only has one cylinder and saves you like $10. I personally wouldn’t go with the squeeze bulb, because the handle on the Clit & Nipple Pleasure System seems more precise and secure, but I’m not your Daddy!
