What Sex Toys I Bought for Black Friday 2018

As my eternally patient partner can attest, I’ve been excited for Black Friday sex toy sales all year. Last year we purchased our very first body safe toy (the Anaconda from Tantus) and our collection has been steadily growing ever since! As a blogger I receive toys in exchange for reviews (both good and bad), but we still buy them for ourselves whenever our budget allows.

This year, I had $160 to spend during the sale weekend. A modest amount to some, but a handsome sum to me.

So, where did I spend my money and why?

Lust Arts

Lust Arts is my favorite fantasy dildo maker. The detail in their sculpts is beyond compare, and their customer service is unmatched in passion and kindness. As soon as I heard they were going to have a Black Friday weekend sale, I knew I wanted to prioritize supporting them.

Lust Burster in the Medium/Moaner size (on sale until end of 11/26)

Buster has been very adamant about wanting to own every every single toy in Lust Arts’ slowly growing roster (as well as a size-up of their much-loved Frank’s Monster.) After looking over the Black Friday special editions (done in rich black silicone), Buster chose the Lust Burster, a gruesome alien standing in eager attention for use.

Unicorn Horn in the Teaser size (free with code until end of 11/26)

For myself, there’s been just one toy I’ve wanted: a small (‘Teaser’ or ‘Pleaser’ in Lust Arts’ sizing) Unicorn Horn. Penetration has always been painful for me, and as I’ve tried to reclaim its pleasure on my own terms, I’ve found soft, slim dildos to be best. And as part of their sale, Lust Arts was offering a Teaser Unicorn Horn in soft or medium density for free with purchase (get your codes here.)

Total Spent: $60 USD plus shipping.

Filthy Figments

Monthly Subscription (on sale until end of 11/26)

I’ve wanted a subscription to Filthy Figments for years. Smut comics were the first porn I pursued as a horny teenager who couldn’t risk sneaking onto tube sites; comics were often reposted on forums I frequented, and they were much more discreet to look at with my overbearing mother lurking. Now that I’m an adult, I can pay for my porn – and get it at a discount for Black Friday! $10 for the first month (and $9 monthly thereafter.)

Filthy Figments has a diverse collection of complete comics as well as comics that update regularly. They’re all made by women or nonbinary artists, and there are sections that include straight, queer, trans, and polyamorous characters. I’ve already read several – ‘Long Haul’ by Jen Hickman was an immediate favorite!

Total Spent: $10 USD.

Peepshow Toys

I love Peepshow Toys. Their new website is very classy and welcoming, and it’s run by great folks. Their sales were the only ones to make me super bitter I didn’t have a bigger budget! There wasn’t a single toy in their doorbuster collection that I didn’t want to snatch up if I had the money to spare.

PalmPower Rechargeable Wand ($30 off until end of 11/26)

While the Noje Mini Wand is my favorite vibrator, I’ve been wanting to try another, larger-but-still-mini wand. Sometimes the Noje isn’t as strong or broad as I’m wanting, but the Magic Wand Rechargeable is too big/heavy. So when I saw the Palm Power in Peepshows’ doorbusters, I thought it could be a good compromise!

Black Day Collar (25% off until end of 11/26)

Bloggers like Taryn of Ace in the Hole have said wearing a collar helps them focus, and I’m curious if it’ll work for me too – but not curious enough to invest in a “nice” one. And the Day Collar seems like it’ll be less bulky than Buster’s collar, and easy to take off if I start feeling restricted.

Sex & Mischief Adjustable Rope Restraints (25% off until end of 11/26)

We’ve started playing with rope recently, but it can be time-consuming and difficult to get off quickly. These Adjustable Rope Restraints seem like a good “cheat” option because they have buckles to adjust instead of knots. I can’t wait to review them, I’m especially interested in their potential for folks with limited mobility.

Midnight Black Jeweled Nipple Clips (25% off until end of 11/26)

Buster has really wanted to try these nipple clamps because they’re affordable but pretty! And who doesn’t want to glitz up their tits on occasion? The clamps themselves look pretty basic, but I’m hoping they won’t be warped or wobbly the way this style often is if sloppily constructed.

Slender Impulse Crop (25% off until end of 11/26)

One of my favorite toys is a cheap, brandless crop that I’ve had for years. Crops are – in general – easier for me to handle than other types of impact toys, so I’d definitely like to start building a collection of affordable ones. Peepshow Toys is actually sending me another crop from Sportsheets’ line to review, so the Impulse Crop will be doubly useful because I can use it for comparison!

Total Spent: $90 USD.

Besides shipping for Lust Arts, I actually stayed perfectly in my budget! I have a host of new experiences on the way to my door, all of which I can review at my own pace over the coming months. I love buying things with dual purpose!
