The experiences of others are beautiful | Share Our Shit Saturday 002

It’s raining, it’s pouring, here’s some posts that I’m adoring!

That’s right, friends, it’s another Saturday of sharing. I didn’t do a very good job of meeting the goal I set for myself in my last SoSS – in fact, I failed completely. I challenged myself to leave more comments on blogs I enjoy, and I left, like, maybe one comment over a three week span? I’ve gotten more shy as I’ve approached my first full month blogging, which is something I’ll need to learn to work with/around if I want bring in a larger audience and network with other blogs and businesses.

Anyway. Onward to the recommendations!

Opening the door afterward, I half-expect to see him just outside, forehead pressed to the doorjamb, mumbling, “I just had to come kiss you.” But he doesn’t. He is good. For the most part.

Magnet by Kate Sloan of Girly Juice

What did I say in the last SoSS? “Kate laces eroticism into introspection like nobody I’ve ever read before”? I mean, fuck. I’ve become drawn to these magnetic boys I’ve never met simply because Kate presents her enthrallment in such captivating, relatable ways. I don’t even especially like boys besides mine. But Kate describes attraction and tension in ways that draw the reader into her world to share these moments, and it’s just as magnetic as the boys she details here.

Smut Marathon 2018: Results Round 1

The first round of the Smut Marathon just finished up, and I didn’t get knocked out! Yay! I wasn’t happy with my entry for a few reasons, but short word counts have never been my friend. If you haven’t already, you should read round one’s entries. There’s a whopping 75 of them, but they’re all a single sentence! There are a few in there that I actually love, which makes this upcoming round – no spoilers! – even harder for me.

You can keep up with the Smut Marathon on Twitter.

[This] resulted in simultaneously jacking him off with one of these tubes around his peen [with me] interviewing him on his thoughts while taking mental notes. I never thought I was very good at multitasking, but hey, here we are.

A Dick Hug in a Tube by Sammi of Squeaky Bedsprings

There are no penises in this household but I still love reading reviews for penis toys. This was a great review of two Tenga strokers that drew comparisons between them so that be-penised (I’m stealing that phrase) folks can better decide which might suit them better. I love when reviewers throw in anecdotal details because it provides further context (and, perhaps, inspiration) for readers, and Sammi includes plenty here.

You can find Sammi on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

The KandlesByKittens Pride Set is absolutely, vibrantly gorgeous, fantastic quality, and as affordable as good waxplay candles get. Also, it’s super gay.

You Can Light My Fire by Pillow Princess Reviews

I need these candles. The Etsy seller who makes them is currently sold out, which is probably a blessing since I don’t have the money to get candles shipped from the UK right now, even if they’re spectacular. This review goes into great detail about the candles’ quality, but more than that, Pillow Princess frankly addresses their value versus the price, which I appreciate as someone without much spare cash.

Pillow Princess can also be found on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

I LOVE the Eroscillator. I don’t even feel the need to justify how ugly it is.

5 Reasons I Like the Eroscillator More than the Hitachi Magic Wand by Cy of Super Smash Cache

I love the Magic Wand (at least, the Rechargeable incarnation.) I only use the first two settings on it, because my clit is a coward, but my orgasms with it are intense. But it’s good to be reminded that though it’s often toted as the king, there are plenty of folks who don’t consider it a throne-holder. Cy has me very curious about the Eroscillator, which I’ve seen in porn a few times. It’s pricey, but maybe one day…

Fun, unrelated fact: I sent Cy’s post on cervical orgasms to my mother, recently. Yay education!

Given this grim reality, it pays to get informed and to refine some of the basic research tools needed to make sure that companies aren’t trying to sell you something that might cause you harm.

Researching Adult Products: The 101 by Emmeline Peaches of Emmeline Peaches Review

I love guides, including ones that cover “obvious” things. “Obvious” is an ableist concept, and as an autistic person who often struggles to translate a need into a completed action, it’s nice to have resources that break down things like product research. This is a nice, tidy guide that takes you from “I want this toy” to “I want this toy and I know what I’m getting into,” complete with excellent gifs.

I also really, really loved Emmeline’s piece Musings on My LegsSex is a gift I give myself is such a beautiful sentiment.

Adding a bit of clit stim and just letting the plug do its thing is orgasm easy street for me. I just lie there like Jabba the Hut and have my pleasures delivered.

B-Vibe Rimming Butt Plug by Ella Scandal of Scandarella

Butt stuff! I love butt stuff. And I want this plug, even if it’s unnecessarily stinky. Though an avid ass eater myself, I also don’t like being on the receiving end of a rimming and that makes this plug all the more appealing. Ella is, as always, funny and personable; her reviews are as easy to digest as some dirty chatter over lunch with a friend. And when I read that Jabba line I died. This whole post is written from the Afterlife, where self-rimming butt plugs don’t cost $180.

Keep up with Ella through Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

My periods were also horrific. Like clockwork, on the 7th day before my period, I would wake up with terrible, extremely painful cramps.

Why I Removed My Copper (Paraguard) IUD by Penny of Penny’s Dirty Thoughts

I have no need for birth control (there’s no pregnancy risk in my relationship and weird hormone stuff has prevented me from having a period to manage) but I appreciate that people are willing to discuss their experiences and educate others. As Penny notes, plenty of folks do just fine with IUDs – but it’s important for a diversity of experiences to be shared.

You can find Penny on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Well, for starters, its not just Falon and I anymore, there’s also Kate.
Yet even though the three of us are intimately involved, not a lot about any of our lives has drastically changed.

How My Nesting Partner and I Moved From Non-Monogamous to Polyamorous by Mx Nillin

I will literally never get enough of reading about other folks’ relationships. Nillin is a so open in their writing, sharing sexy, intimate details with an ease that I both envy and appreciate as someone trying to normalize my own sensuality to myself. I’ve started going back and binging their old posts.

Mx Nillin can be followed via Twitter.

Now unfortunately, I don’t have time to share any of the dozens of other posts I’ve read since my last SoSS – but if you’re looking for more to read, I have a (work in progress) list of recommended blogs in my sidebar now! So many fantastic sex bloggers, with many more to be added in the future.

Though I failed the goal I set for myself last time, I’m going to keep setting new goals with each SoSS to hold myself accountable. This week, I’m challenging myself to finish several pieces of erotica I’ve let fall to the side while I’ve completed reviews, and I want to give leaving more comments another chance. Two goals!

What are your goals this week?
