Sneaking a little personal note in here – hi! I hope this holiday season is gentle on your heart, reader. After this godawful year – which has driven me into a pretty severe depression the past few months – I’m finally feeling a little bit of that holiday hopefulness instilled in so many of us as kids.
I can’t make the world outside my window any kinder, nor can I quiet the turmoil in my brain, but I can watch Elf (my partner’s favorite Christmas movie) and hope that even if tomorrow isn’t better, next year will be.
