It\u2019s a super soft, highly textured toy with a pronounced knot.<\/p>\n<p>A fantasy dildo \u201cknot\u201d is a bulb shape (usually located on the lower half of the shaft) that provides a satisfying stretch. Knots can feel like an added pop of sensation, a challenge you have to overcome, or a cork to keep you full.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a common <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/450qt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">monster dildo<\/a> characteristic, but this is Uberrime\u2019s first knotted model. It\u2019s easy to bend in half, it squishes when you squeeze it, and the various scales and bumps feel like firm gummy candy. The small is about as thick as two of my (chubby) fingers. It\u2019s nice to see this ultra-petite option considering how few truly \u201cbeginner-friendly\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/450qt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">fantasy dildos<\/a> exist.<\/p>\n<p>When choosing which size of Hydrus to get, it\u2019s important to remember that while the knot is the widest point, the vast majority of your experience is going to be with the slimmer shaft. My partner Buster \u2013 who likes their toys <em>big<\/em> \u2013 was left unimpressed with the Hydrus Large\u2019s overall average-ish girth. It\u2019s no <a href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/2022\/06\/27\/review-neo-elite-9-inch-dual-density-silicone-dildo-by-blush-novelties\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Neo Elite 9 Inch<\/a> (2in diameter) or <a href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/2022\/06\/30\/guest-review-a-spot-avenger-large-silicone-dildo-by-uberrime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A-Spot Avenger<\/a> (2.07in diameter.) Unlike <a href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/2022\/01\/06\/review-igneus-dragon-fantasy-monster-dildo-by-uberrime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Uberrime\u2019s Igneus Dragon<\/a> (which is abstractly shaped like a dragon\u2019s full body), the Hydrus Dildo is definitely a dragon <em>dick<\/em>. You don\u2019t have to view it as such; plenty of people are into <a href=\"https:\/\/shrsl.com\/450qt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">monster dildos<\/a> for the unique textures rather than the <a href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/tag\/monster-fuckers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fantasy themeing<\/a>. But if you need a dildo to plunder some princesses\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fthe%2Dhydrus%2Dwater%2Ddragon%2Dlarge%2D8%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dby%2Duberrime%2Dphoenix%2F&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hydrus Dragon Dildo<\/a> features a tapered bulb-like head for easier insertion, rounded scales of varying sizes for smooth texture play, and a scaley base that\u2019s stylized like a cloaca. I <em>really<\/em> love the soft-but-spikey ridge of scales along the underside of the shaft. When I first tried the Hydrus Small, even its modest 1 inch diameter was too much for my vagina. But after a few months, I worked up to it\u2026 mostly. I can take the first 4 inches of the shaft, but that 1.4 inch knot? Forget about it.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, my partner Buster uses the <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fthe%2Dhydrus%2Dwater%2Ddragon%2Dlarge%2D8%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dby%2Duberrime%2Dphoenix%2F&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Hydrus <em>Large<\/em><\/a> as a warm-up toy. Even the <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fthe%2Dhydrus%2Dwater%2Ddragon%2Dlarge%2D8%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dby%2Duberrime%2Dphoenix%2F&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Large<\/a> is vagina-friendly with its 5 inch initial shaft length (7 inches plus some change when you add in the knot.) Vaginas are around 6 to 8 inches deep when aroused, so the Large Hydrus slides in with room to spare for the knot. It\u2019s a sexy feeling, having your opening wedged wide on a thick, soft swell of silicone.<\/p>\n<p>But \u201cnicely proportioned\u201d comes with a caveat. If you\u2019re looking for a comparatively <em>challenging<\/em> knot \u2013 meaning a knot that feels like a <em>big<\/em> stretch at the end of a satisfying shaft \u2013 I\u2019m not sure the Hydrus provides that. The knot isn\u2019t a full orb, it\u2019s a modest <em>oval<\/em>: the promised girth isn\u2019t as filling\/stretching as it appears on paper. A highly textured shaft and a fat knot? Insert rough water pun here. But the Hydrus is made with <em>soft<\/em> silicone. Its challenging-looking features compress when you apply pressure \u2013 like by sliding it into a clenching orifice. Buster was hoping for a tantalizing, all-over ripple of sensation from the scales. But as soon as you thrust this toy, the texture vanishes. With slower movement and less lube, Buster can feel the ghostly ripple of the ridged underside or the bulgier bumps on the sides of the shaft. Like most of Uberrime\u2019s non-realistic toys, the Hydrus\u2019s silicone has a sleek finish. The texture comes from the <em>shape<\/em> of the scales \u2013 the scales themselves are smooth.<\/p>\n<p>The bumpiness of the scales is way more apparent when you\u2019re using the Hydrus anally, at least in my partner and I\u2019s experience. The tapered head and straight-yet-flexible shaft are <em>great<\/em> for anal.
