That\u2019s an entire inch wider than the average penis or dildo! This toy is definitely intended for experienced users and girth enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>Because it was made to be wide but not <em>long<\/em>, the Basilisk has modest 6 inch length. This allows most folks to enjoy a filling fuck without cervix bumping or depth play.<\/p>\n<p>The shape of the Pris Basilisk is so genuinely unique. The head is semi-realistic, but the rest of the dildo is smoothly textured with random ridges and bumps. Towards the base, the shaft swells out in a lumpy knot. Because of the Basilisk\u2019s girth, you can <em>really<\/em> feel the contrast between the \u201cdick bone\u201d (my nickname for the core) and the flubbery top layer. I initially puzzled over this. A soft head means a less jarring thrust, especially if you\u2019re near a sensitive cervix. But I\u2019ve found that I actually like the lengthier core. I can be very intentional about how I angle the toy because the head doesn\u2019t yield under pressure. Pigment is mixed into liquid silicone, which is then poured into a toy mold so it can set. When makers choose to pour and swirl multiple colors, the results will always vary, because liquid silicone does what it wants. Each toy winds up with one of a kind colorations. My Basilisk is a messy splash of hot pink, pearly white, gold, and a hint of blue.<\/p>\n<p>This toy is so densely packed with glitter that it glistens and twinkles at every angle. The base is clear, so you can really see the explosion of sparkle particles. It\u2019s beautiful!<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"our_experience_using_the_basilisk\"><\/span><em>our experience using the basilisk<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>When you look at the <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fpris%2Dtoys%2Dbasilisk%2D6%2Ddual%2Ddensity%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dcandy%2F&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Basilisk Dual Density Dildo<\/a>, you\u2019re probably expecting two things: girth, and texture. It\u2019s got plenty of girth\u2026 but the texture isn\u2019t as pronounced as you would expect.<\/p>\n<p>When I tell you the Basilisk\u2019s outer layer is squishy, I mean it. It\u2019s as plush as the <a title=\"Review: Neo Elite 6 Inch Dual Density Suction Cup Dildo by Blush Novelties\" href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/2019\/06\/20\/review-neo-elite-6-inch-dual-density-suction-cup-dildo-by-blush-novelties\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Neo Elites<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fvixskin%2Dmustang%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dby%2Dvixen%2Dtie%2Dbright%2Easpx&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Vixskin Mustang<\/a> (a fan and blogger favorite), but it\u2019s fatter so it has more give when you squeeze.<\/p>\n<p>Like most super soft-surfaced silicone, the Basilisk is tacky to the touch. Unlike jelly material dildos which have oily residue (and are porous and often toxic), body-safe silicone doesn\u2019t get greasy or weird. It\u2019s <em>tacky<\/em>, not sticky or damp! Like the slimmer <a href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/2020\/02\/18\/review-they-them-silicone-dildo-by-tantus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tantus They\/Them<\/a>, the Basilisk\u2019s fat, average-length shaft is great for vaginal penetration because it\u2019s filling \u2013 or in Basilisk\u2019s case,<em> really<\/em> filling \u2013 but won\u2019t fuck too deep for most users. (I say \u201cmost\u201d because vaginal depth varies.)<\/p>\n<p>But because the Basilisk is so squishy, all the wonderfully weird texturing loses its impact. My partner <a title=\"When You Risk Your Genitals for the One You Love: An Interview With Buster LeBeau\" href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/2021\/02\/01\/when-you-risk-your-genitals-for-the-one-you-love-an-interview-with-buster-lebeau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Buster<\/a> can barely parse out the swells when the toy is still (and the first few ridges are lost entirely.) The texturing is more obvious when the toy is being thrust or corkscrewed, but even then the experience is just very <em>mild<\/em>. All stretch, no added sensation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMild\u201d works great for us. The pillowy-yet-unbending <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fpris%2Dtoys%2Dbasilisk%2D6%2Ddual%2Ddensity%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dcandy%2F&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Basilisk 6&#8243; Dildo<\/a> pairs well with my hard thrusting. But if you want the Basilisk to stroke and massage your insides with tantalizing ridges and dips? You\u2019ll need to look at its firmer iteration: the <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fpris%2Dtoys%2Dbasilisk%2D6%2Dsingle%2Ddensity%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dcosmic%2F&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Pris Toys Basilisk Single Density Cosmic Dildo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"extra_stimulation_g-spotting_and_knotting\"><\/span><em>extra stimulation: g-spotting and knotting<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>So that\u2019s a no on rippling texture stim\u2026 what about the rest?<\/p>\n<p>If concentrated g-spot stimulation is something you seek in insertables, the Basilisk design doesn\u2019t have much to offer. But because this dildo has such a firm core, it\u2019s pretty easy to deeply angle it for shallow, targeted thrusting. Knots are commonplace in <a title=\"A Timely Ode to Tentacles (and Where You Can Get Some of Your Own)\" href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/2020\/10\/04\/a-timely-ode-to-tentacles-and-where-you-can-get-some-of-your-own\/\">monster dildo designs<\/a>, but I\u2019ve never seen one on an abstract toy like the Basilisk. Knots provide a final challenging stretch at the end of a toy that many folks find incredibly erotic \u2013 including Buster.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fpris%2Dtoys%2Dbasilisk%2D6%2Ddual%2Ddensity%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dcandy%2F&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Basilisk<\/a>\u2019s knot is squishy and only on one side of the shaft (rather than a consistent bulge all the way around), so it\u2019s easy for Buster to accommodate with a lot of lube and adequate warm-up. After they\u2019ve had time to adjust to the girth, I can even thrust it! We\u2019re fat, so we need our dildos on the long side to compensate for the greater distance between our bodies. If you\u2019re using the Basilisk in a harness and you enjoy rough thrusts, you might want some cushioning to keep it from bruising your pubic mound. In order to strap this toy, you\u2019ll probably need a <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Ftantus%2Dstrap%2Don%2Dharness%2Dsilicone%2Do%2Dring%2Dset%2Easpx&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">large stretchy silicone o-ring<\/a>. I\u2019m not sure I\u2019d personally use a metal o-ring for the Basilisk because of its bulgey shape and soft surface. Even using the plastic bag trick, I\u2019ve scuffed some soft dual density toys with metal rings.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"final_thoughts_on_the_pris_basilisk\"><\/span><em>final thoughts on the pris basilisk<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The texturing on the <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fpris%2Dtoys%2Dbasilisk%2D6%2Ddual%2Ddensity%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dcandy%2F&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Pris Dual Density Basilisk 6&#8243; Dildo<\/a> is more aesthetic than functional. (To enjoy the texture, you might want to grab the <a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=1624116&amp;u=3636866&amp;m=101452&amp;urllink=shevibe%2Ecom%2Fpris%2Dtoys%2Dbasilisk%2D6%2Dsingle%2Ddensity%2Dsilicone%2Ddildo%2Dcosmic%2F&amp;afftrack=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Pris Toys Single Density Basilisk<\/a> instead.) But with an abundantly plush outer layer, a bulging half-knot at the base, and an ultra-rigid dick bone keeping the whole thing on track, the very girthy Dual Density Basilisk has plenty more to offer. Its wonderfully weird design and partner-pleasing dimensions make it a unique and likely permanent addition to my regular rotation.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for something more stimulating than just girth, the Basilisk probably isn\u2019t for you. Which is a little bit of a shame, because Pris Toys\u2019 abstract texture\/shaping is genuinely intriguing. Maybe we\u2019ll see the Basilisk in a single, firmer density to really utilize its weird design.
