It\u2019s rechargeable and comes with a remote control for easier use (and fun with partners.) The widest part of the insertable portion is 1.5 inches in diameter \u2013 that\u2019s the average width of dildos or penises. If you\u2019re totally new to anal penetration, it\u2019s generally recommended you start off with <a href=\"https:\/\/shevibe.com\/vibrating-anal-toys-and-butt-plugs\/?rfsn=4817663.6e587d&amp;search_query=&amp;page=1&amp;limit=20&amp;sort=newest&amp;Approximate_Width_-_Widest_Point=1.25 inches&amp;category=62&amp;is_category_page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">toys in the 1.25\u201d diameter<\/a> range.<\/p>\n<p>The Performance Plus Drive is a firm toy with a powdery-smooth, body-safe silicone surface. The shaft is tapered for easier insertion and has two sleek ridges for subtle stimulation. Less subtle is the bulky base, which is about twice as big as it needs to be to make this toy anal safe.<\/p>\n<p>(Presumably the base is so big because it has to house the plug\u2019s motor or other mechanics. But still, it\u2019s<em> awkward<\/em>.)<\/p>\n<p>The Drive Rimming Plug has 5 swirling settings for the rimming beads, and 10 vibration settings. There\u2019s a single button on the base to click through the settings, which are all combinations of vibration\/rimming. If you want to control them individually, you\u2019ll have to use the remote.<\/p>\n<p>I appreciate the Drive Butt Plug being waterproof. I can toss it in the sink with regular silicone plugs and not worry that I\u2019ll accidentally flood the motor.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"what_does_the_rimming_feel_like\"><\/span><em>what does the rimming feel like?<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Despite the name, there\u2019s no way for a sex toy to emulate oral sex \u2013 we just don\u2019t have the technology. By \u201crimming,\u201d these toys mean titillating your rim with a rotating bead massage. (<a href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/2021\/02\/18\/review-control-rim-joy-vibrating-oral-sex-simulator-by-sir-richards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">As opposed to the Sir Richards Rim Joy<\/a>, which utilizes a flicking tip for external stimulation.) That\u2019s a very different experience from having a hot, undulating tongue press inside your hole.<\/p>\n<p>Very few plugs stimulate the wearer\u2019s sphincter, which is a shame because it\u2019s rich with nerves. (Previously, if I wanted a lot of rim stim, I\u2019d reach for <a href=\"https:\/\/shevibe.com\/tom-of-finland-silicone-cock-ring-with-3-weighted-balls.aspx?rfsn=4817663.6e587d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a pair of anal beads<\/a>.) So while I didn\u2019t expect the Drive to provide a rim job, my partner and I were still hoping for something special.<\/p>\n<p>(In fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/bettybutch.com\/index.php\/2021\/02\/01\/when-you-risk-your-genitals-for-the-one-you-love-an-interview-with-buster-lebeau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">my partner Buster<\/a> did 95% of the testing for this review. It was essentially non-existent.<\/p>\n<p>The plug\u2019s 7 settings are all combinations of vibration and the rimming functions, and the rimming is indistinguishable. You can switch to just rimming with the remote, but even then Buster pointed out, \u201cthe best way I can describe [the rimming] is a distant, gentle thumpy vibration. I can tell the beads are whirring around but they\u2019re not strong enough to feel like anything specific.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Drive\u2019s neck is smooth, firm silicone. I\u2019d barely know the beads were there if I didn\u2019t turn the toy on and grip the neck with my fingers to check.<\/p>\n<p>We both have chronic digestive issues that might impact the sensitivity of our buttholes. I don\u2019t have anything to compare the Drive plug to in order to say it\u2019s just the Drive\u2019s motor. But I did see a few reviews of the famed <a href=\"https:\/\/shevibe.com\/b-vibe-rimming-plug-2-waterproof-remote-control-vibrating-anal-toy-teal?rfsn=4817663.6e587d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">b-Vibe Rimming Plug<\/a> that lamented a lack of sensation. Perhaps it\u2019s not just the budget-friendly Drive that would fail to titillate us.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, the Blush Novelties Drive has more to offer than rimming!<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"drive_rimming_plug_vibrations\"><\/span><em>drive rimming plug vibrations<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/shevibe.com\/performance-plus-drive-rimming-remote-control-rechargeable-silicone-butt-plug-by-blush?rfsn=4817663.6e587d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Performance Plus Drive Plug<\/a> is a firm toy, so it conducts its vibrations pretty well. You can feel them through the plug\u2019s shaft and tip \u2013 but you primarily feel it in the base, so if you don\u2019t like vibrations buzzing your butt cheeks, that\u2019s something to keep in mind.<\/p>\n<p>The vibrations are hard to describe as specifically either buzzy (shallow\/numbing) or rumbly (resonating\/thumpy) but at least internally they feel rumbly. The three steady settings are weak-to-medium strong (not enough to pleasure power royalty.) The rimming beads are actually louder than the vibrations. You can definitely hear it if you\u2019re in the same room, but not from behind a closed door.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"wearing_the_performance_plus_drive\"><\/span><em>wearing the performance plus drive<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The Drive Rimming Plug\u2019s tip is easy to insert because it\u2019s narrow and firm, like an insistent fingertip pressing against your hole. The plug gradually flares out to its maximum width to allow you time to adjust to the toy\u2019s girth, then narrows again so your sphincter can relax and hold the plug in place.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the Drive plug\u2019s base is big and <em>heavy<\/em>, and the neck isn\u2019t narrow enough to let your hole fully close (like a <a href=\"https:\/\/shevibe.com\/b-vibe-snug-plug-2-medium-silicone-weighted-butt-plug-black?rfsn=4817663.6e587d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">b-Vibe Snug Plug<\/a>.) This means the <a href=\"https:\/\/shevibe.com\/performance-plus-drive-rimming-remote-control-rechargeable-silicone-butt-plug-by-blush?rfsn=4817663.6e587d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drive<\/a> is constantly straining to pop out. Buster could only wear it while laying on their back (occasionally reaching down to adjust it) or sitting directly on it. But Buster didn\u2019t experience any jabbing even when moving around. The plug\u2019s slight ridges were completely imperceptible once the toy was inserted, so there was no discomfort from that either.<\/p>\n<p>Despite not liking the base, Buster likes the Performance Plus Driver for sitting at their desk and gaming. The bulky base reminds them to stay in place, and the plug\u2019s length and firmness makes it an unforgettable presence in their ass. One thing Buster noticed during their gaming sessions is the plug\u2019s tendency to heat up during wear. It never became too hot for them, but if you\u2019re not a fan of warming functions (intentional or just a byproduct of a busy motor) that\u2019s something to keep in mind.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"taking_issue_with_the_drives_base\"><\/span><em>taking issue with the drive&#8217;s base<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The base is round (rather than T-shaped), so it doesn\u2019t tuck between the wearer\u2019s cheeks. Some people like circular bases, but I kinda hate them. I\u2019ve got a big ass and the last thing I want is a toy spreading and chafing my crack. I\u2019ll make exceptions for interesting tech, but the <a href=\"https:\/\/shevibe.com\/performance-plus-drive-rimming-remote-control-rechargeable-silicone-butt-plug-by-blush?rfsn=4817663.6e587d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drive Rimming Butt Plug<\/a> is definitely a \u2018wear briefly while having sex\u2019 plug and not a \u2018wear around the house\u2019 plug.<\/p>\n<p>A wider plug would have made more sense, honestly.
