August was the perfect cross between fantastic and frustrating.<\/p>\n

Our car\u2019s been coughing towards its deathbed, so Buster visited a used car lot \u2013 just to ask some questions! \u2013 and ended up driving home in a Kia Soul that ticked all our boxes and<\/em> fits our monthly budget. We had to move bills around and our internet got turned off for three weeks. (The temporary sacrifice was worth it.) I fell into a two week stretch of bad depression. I was blessed with stickers from Woodhull (which I couldn\u2019t attend this year.) We were sent our first fantasy dildo for review. My summertime insomnia got worse. I was too exhausted to masturbate much, too emotionally drained to edit anything I wrote, and had a hard time finding wifi to post it<\/a> anyway. Buster sent me dick pics from a dirty bathroom and I discovered I have a kink for that. I posted July\u2019s wrap-up post<\/a> at the very end of August, and I\u2019m starting to think that\u2019s just part of my brand.<\/p>\n

Out of the Toy Chest<\/h4>\n

\u2764\u00a0The folks at\u00a0Lust Arts<\/a> <\/strong>\u2013 makers of fantastical fuckables like the Lust Burster<\/a> and Mermaid<\/a> \u2013 sent us a Frank\u2019 Monster<\/a>, made to our specifications and shipped with a pair of tiny dildo models and some delicious orange chocolate. Because my brother was released from the hospital early, we missed the package\u2019s arrival by less than 10 hours, and had to wait several days before Buster had time to drive home and fetch it. Buster fell in love with it immediately, and that love only blossomed further with its first use. And second. And third. Etc. This toy has been pretty thoroughly tested, y\u2019all. Buster \u2013 who always<\/em> nicknames our toys \u2013 christened Frank their Stitched Sweetie<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u2764 I\u2019ve finally figured out how I like to use the Noje G Slim<\/a>: externally, and lazy as fuck. Its handle provides a really comfortable grasping point that doesn\u2019t cramp my wrist up like literally everything else does, and it\u2019s long enough that I barely have to move to shift its position. Weirdly, it gives me nostalgia feels \u2013 probably because it\u2019s bigger than a bullet and hard plastic, like my vibrators of yesteryear.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Into the Bedroom<\/h4>\n

\u2764 I put off asking Buster to fuck me with the Temptasia Harness Briefs<\/a>\u00a0(read my review here<\/a>) until August, because I was nervous that the pain would be too much or that it would be triggering to me as a survivor. Rationally I knew Buster would be supportive if either occurred, but I was tempted not to try at all just to avoid the anxiety. But my worries were misplaced. It did<\/em> hurt quite a bit, and I had a flash of panic while laying on my back, but rolling over onto my knees eased both problems, and I was able to enjoy a great first time fuck while smothering my unflatteringly loud noises with our comforter.<\/p>\n

\u2764 I love to sit up with my back against the wall and have Buster perch on my thigh, because even without a thigh harness, it\u2019s easy to keep a dildo pinned in place for Buster to ride. Frank\u2019s Monster<\/a> is perfect for this, with its hefty balls serving as additional stability. So at one point during an especially toppy mood, I forced Buster to sit down on Frank\u2019s considerable girth while I gripped and kneaded their tits and leaned in to bite the side of their neck as firmly as I could. I have naturally sharp eye teeth so I leave pretty wicked hickeys! Their (consensual) struggles eventually petered out into slack-bodied, mewly-voiced bliss, and it was good for both<\/em> of us to push Buster into genuine subspace for a little while.<\/p>\n

\u2764 At my request, Buster sent me a couple of sexts from work, including pictures of them holding our favorite dildo \u2013 the Vixskin Mustang<\/a> \u2013 in a deceptively dirty-looking bathroom. (As it turned out, Buster staged some of the filthy vibe by dropping clean toilet paper on the floor, which they then cleaned up because they\u2019re not a heathen.) Sex-in-a-questionably-maintained-bathroom used to be a fanfiction kink of mine (gimme any<\/em> ship fucking around in a club or truck stop restroom) but now I know it makes me swoon with the desire to drop to my knees on grungy tile and sloppily suck strapped cock in real life too. The Pleasant Distractions<\/h4>\n

\u2764 I binged as much as I could of the currently ongoing seasons of Elementary (my all-time favorite show) and Pose (a new favorite.) Elementary is a nice balance of interesting cases (as it centers on a modern interpretation of Sherlock & Holmes), likable characters, and clumsily written but sometimes endearing emotional subplots. It\u2019s generally pretty low-stakes even when the case is high-stakes, if that makes any sense. I don\u2019t find it as stressful as most dramas. Pose, on the other hand, is very<\/em> high-stakes \u2013 there hasn\u2019t been a single episode where Buster and I haven\u2019t cried at least once. It\u2019s raw, honest storytelling; a brutally unwavering peek at the bubbled world within which drag balls thrived, and the terrible realities the participants faced as soon as they stepped back out onto the cold streets of NYC. It takes place in the 80s, but it mirror\u2019s today\u2019s oppression with unflinching realness. (Its content can be triggering on a number of topics, so be mindful.)<\/p>\n

I put out a request on Twitter for folks to perhaps pick me up some stickers, and Ducky DooLittle graciously gathered me a generous handful. I was overjoyed to receive them when I got back from my brother\u2019s. My laptop gives me legitimate blogger feels now<\/a>, and the sticker additions \u2013 and the kindness behind their acquisition \u2013 helps remind me that this is my space now too.<\/p>\n

Some Reordered Priorities<\/h4>\n

\u2764 We got a fucking car.<\/em> Our Saturn has been veering ever-closer to its inevitable demise due to Buster\u2019s 60 miles a day commute, so on impulse Buster visited the car lot where my brother bought his vehicle a few months ago, hoping to get a ballpark estimate for how much a downpayment would be with Buster\u2019s credit. Because the Saturn was paid off recently, Buster\u2019s candidacy was bolstered, and they left the lot in an almost-new Kia Soul. It royally fucked up our bills, but it suited our needs too perfectly to not take the opportunity. And it says EXTREME SOUL on the hood, which is fucking awkward and weird and thus perfect for us.<\/p>\n

In early August, we hit up the parks<\/a> to play some Pokemon Go and enjoy a relatively mild day since tourist season was already winding down. (It will pick up in September for\u00a0Halloween Horror Nights<\/a>, which we\u2019ll be attending again this year, but the temporary calm is still appreciated!) It was a nice treat, especially since we splurged and got some french fries. Theme park food is expensive and subpar, but it\u2019s impossible not to crave it while you\u2019re there.<\/p>\n

\u2764\u00a0With my energy-sapping insomnia and our screwed up budget, we spent the rest of our time at home\u00a0just laying around the house arguing about whether or not The Walking Dead is a terrible show (it is.)<\/p>\n
